FAQs about hotels in Hong Kong

Style Amidst the Skyscrapers

One of the world’s busiest and most populated cities, Hong Kong is best-known for its stunning skyline with over 1200 skyscrapers and its “East meets West” cultural mix. With architecture and interior design influenced by feng shui and modern technology, this city is truly unique.

Hong Kong offers plenty of interesting city and thematic tours, ranging from cuisine-oriented, to architecture, to nature. The latter is particularly fascinating as Hong Kong has many amazing mountain landscapes, marine parks and the Tian Tan Buddha on Lantau Island is only a ferry ride away.

Kowloon is a busy urban center near Victoria Harbour, where ferries are an excellent choice to see just how tall Hong Kong's buildings actually are. Excellent tax-free shopping can be found in high-class malls, boutiques and street markets.

Hong Kongs’ unique cultural fusion is clearly seen, tasted and heard in the local food, like dim sum from Maxim's Palace or hot pot from street vendors complimented local Cantopop music in the backgound.

Arriving at Hong Kong International Airport you’re only a short trip from the city centre. Whether you’re staying in a chic hotel or a budget hostel, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Hong Kong holiday.

Hong Kong is very built up now and we felt it had lost some of the old charm. I think if staying again would stay on the island close to transport and restaurants. We went for a long ride on the Ding Ding tram, a nice thing to do when jetlagged. We also enjoyed a day trip to Stanley, less busy on a week day.

It's an expensive town not worth visiting...it doesn't compare to Beijing or Shanghai. The services are substandard, the food is not delicious, and the people are not cooperative....Hong Kong is not worth visiting.

Bustling city. Modern yer retaining the tradition and charm That 90's Hongkong in films with Neon lights everywhere is not there anymore. It's a modern fancy city. Octopus card is recommended though CC is also accepted on Airport Express MTR. I am not sure about regular MTRs, buses and trams.

Vibrant and busy city, with dazzling lights, especially viewing either side across the harbour. Great walking city, with good transport options. Added bonus being able to checkin baggage from Central prior to going to airport. Many attractions to visit, and most people speak English. If adverse to heat and humidity, pick your travel times.

    HK is a great place.

HK is a great place. Pricey, but vacation is to spend and after vacation you go and work super harder to bring the best out you and become richer to return back to HK. Its nice and I love the ambience, the cleanliness, the efficient MTRs, plenty places to eat, and to cap it all and not to miss the night market at Kowloon area. There are a lot of attractions that a week is not enough to cover.

The Mingle by the Park hotel is located in central Hong Kong with shops and restaurants nearby as well as a lovely park for relaxing in the afternoon. The property is located within a short walking distance from the Wan Chai MRT station. The hotel reception staff were friendly and polite. They also spoke very good English as I don't speak Chinese and this was very helpful.

The View of the Harbour Hong Kong was good. Location was fine. Room can improve, how can a 5 star hotel doesn’t provide utensils and free water? Need guest to buy from outside convenience store. I was staying opposite Island at AKI Hotel, and they provide free water n utensils.

The location is very good if you need to move around Tsim Sha Tsui and neighborhood. The hotel staff is helpful. The rooms are "hong kong size": means you cannot move much inside the room while unpacking/packing your luggage. But this is normal for HK hotels.

Good for an overnight in central Hong Kong. Walking distance to all the major landmarks. We didn’t realise Lang Kwai Fong and the hotel were in the middle of the party zone but room was quiet and fine for what it was.

Good value for money Good breakfast Room size is bigger than average Hong Kong hotels. They offer shuttle to Causeway Bay which is very useful, because there is no MTR station nearby.
