Nice beaches, nice vibes, beautiful buildings/architecture, nice strolls and walks, several cultural and historic references, nice restaurants, friendly people, perfect for a short getaway from Athens. Transportation is tricky though, the only working option is a scooter that needs to be booked much in advance. The lovely authentic town but mainly the lovely authentic people made Spetses special. Take a horse and carriage ride, visit Marina beach (paradise beach) eat ice cream, swim and swim some more! Spetses is a very relaxed island with a picturesque port and lots of nice restaurants and cafes. The beaches are good however unless you have transport there it can be difficult to get to beaches as there is an erratic single private bus service. The management and staff are professionals and know how to ensure their guests have a great experience in Spetses. We sure did! when you arrive to Spetses, a car transfer is offered from the ferry pier which is great if you have bulky luggage, otherwise it is a just 5 mins walk. We loved the quiet covered breakfast/bar area with seating with the pool nearby. Thank you Christiana, Vicky, Svetlana, Apostoli and Paulin. Proximity to scooter rental not a problem - closes at 7pm and opens same time as everything else around. Location very good - mid point between old and new ports. The room was a good size and the balcony had great views of sunset over the town and sea! The staff were all really friendly and helped us store our luggage after we’d checked out.
