Perea is a lovely destination if you enjoy sandy beaches. The beach bars along the coast are perfect for chilling out and spending lazy days by the sea. For more activities or sightseeing, you’ll need to go outside Perea. It’s relatively well connected, but don’t expect fast or very frequent transport. Still, it’s a great spot if your priority is sun, sand, and a seaside vibe. I would not recommend Perea beach as a holiday destination. The beach means a narrow piece of land. The sand is dirty, there is rubbish everywhere even in the water. The sea si full of sea weed. At the time of our stay, it wasn't overcrowded, and a lot of local people were frequent visitors to the beach. The town is kind of suburbia of Thessaloniki, and it is close to the big shopping malls and all that Thessaloniki can offer. A typical small town.
A typical small town. Its main advantage is the location — close to the airport, Thessaloniki, and Halkidiki. We used it as a base and traveled frequently: to Pozar Baths, Edessa, Thessaloniki, Mount Olympus, and Thermi (where my sister lives). The room was lovely with air-conditioning, very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom and a huge terrace. It was sparkling clean. Also, we arrived there in a very tough situation as our Airbnb host cancelled just before we arrived in Greece and the ladies running this place managed to prepare our room in less than 30min so we could relax after the stressful arrival.
