Paranesti is a small and very quiet village next to the Nestos river. We visited it during a long weekend at the end of March. I wish we would schedule our trip for a later date, so we could see the forest green with fresh leaves. During our visit, the landscape was still winter-looking. Nevertheless, nature is beautiful and there are several options for activities in the area.
