Monemvasia is a lovely village built at the base of an island reachable by a bridge. There are two great spots to swim on the island side of the bridge, on of which is quite sheltered by rocks so we were able to take a dip although the wind and waves were strong. The town at the base of the cliffs and the old site at the top are both charming and worth a visit. We were only there for a night but I could have stayed longer.Guest review byLeslieFrance - 10.0

This place is amazing. Feels like you have just stepped back into Medieval times. We only stayed for one night - wish we had stayed for two. We got up at dawn and walked up to the castle ruins - this is a must do experience.Guest review byJessieAustralia - 10.0

Monemvasia is a beautiful destination, where one feels...
Monemvasia is a beautiful destination, where one feels instantly relaxed and at peace. Besides the slight difficulty in finding parking outside of the castle and the small "hike" that might entail for the more unlucky ones, the scenery inside is absolutely worth it. Overall a charming destination, with a lot of history, lot's to see, great for a quick getaway or a short vacation.Guest review byAnonymous

Any location within the walls of Monemvasia is memorable and unique. When evaluating the hotel, I am taking in consideration the extremely unique specifics of hospitality business in Monemvasia (explained in the section below). We liked the spirit of the place, the kindness of the staff. The breakfast was good and varied, with many typically Balkan meals and products.
