The most spacious and comfortable apartment we have stayed in so far during our vacations in Greece! The apartment is located right on the beach. The apartment has everything you need, the owners of the apartment really thought of everything and nothing is missing in the apartment. Including dish soap, towels and rags in the kitchen, all the kitchen utensils you need without missing anything, mosquito repellent devices, 4 large bottles of cold water in the fridge, a dishwasher and a washing machine with all the necessary materials for use (it's really not obvious that you put materials. Thank you 🙏), oven , microwave, kettle, in short there is everything. There is a smart TV, the living room is spacious and the couch is really comfortable even for a nap (from experience...), a dining area. And the highlight is the balcony facing the sea. A dreamy, spacious and comfortable balcony with a hanging chair and sun loungers and a large dining table in front of the beach (on this side there are sunrises, no sunsets). The apartment is exactly as you see in the pictures and it is even more beautiful and more comfortable in reality! We spent a week in the apartment, go down to the sea with a bathing suit, you don't need to take anything except a towel, the room is seconds away from you. The entrance to the room is with a number coder so you don't even need to take keys to the beach. On the beach a few steps away from the apartment there are several taverns and also a mini market that has everything you need for daily shopping. Right next to the apartment there is a beach restaurant where we ate brunch meals (pizza, toast, omelets, salad, hamburger and chips) and to the right and left of the apartment there are seafood taverns 50 to 100 steps away. For larger stores, drive 20 minutes towards Heraklion, where there is a jumbo store and all the major supermarket chains, bakeries, etc. In short, a perfect apartment for a perfect beach vacation in Crete.

This is a great home to rent. It has a super practical arrangement, the living room, the spacious dining area, and the kitchen with a separate toilet are all on the upper floor with 3! great balconies while the 3 spacious bedrooms and the full bathroom with shower, toilet, and washing machine are below. So when we played a board game on the upper floor, we didn't disturb the ones taking some rest. The kitchen is very well-equipped, has all you might need with a massive fridge (which we really envied) and all the areas and rooms have their own air conditioning, which makes it all adjustable for each need. The host is super communicative and helpful and fantastic, he even surprised us with some welcome gifts and has been there for us for any questions we had through whatsapp, so he was super respectful to our privacy. We even met his family who arrived for a summer vacation at the apartment on the lowest floor of the building (completely separated from out 2-storey apartment) and they were so kind, we immediately felt like old-time friends. The building itself is on a hill, you can walk down and up to the local small beach, which is really cute, not overcrowded like others, has sunbeds and umbrellas for a very reasonable price (you pay 3eur per sunbed, so 6 for 2 beds and umbrella or 9 eur for 3 beds and umbrella, etc). The beach has pebbles, with crystal clear water and probably the nearby 2 small rock islands (swimming distance) are the best snorkeling spots we have seen (and believe me we snorkeled almost everywhere :-)). It is great fun and easy to reach and explore. The walk down and up is super steep, quite an exercise, but doable. We also took the car and managed to find a parking place each time, so that' the other option (3 min drive from the apartment).

The property looked exactly same as pictures. Very aesthetically decorated. The living room was large and spacious and opened directly to a personal balcony and extended gardens overlooking the beach. The rooms were very clean and the mattresses were very comfortable. I had read few reviews earlier about bathroom but the host assured that the bathrooms have been renovated. They were indeed and we had no complaints. It was large spacious and had everything we needed. The host had left a basket of fruits which was such a nice welcome. There was a cafe next door which played very nice music and had awesome food at reasonable prices. The beach was very accessible and the place offered a lot of water sport activities. The only downside of beach was that it was full of pebbles and the sea bed was rocky and slippery.

I’ve never had such a perfectly equipped apartment. You’ll lack of nothing. It’s very spacious and you have AC in every room. After a few days we really felt like it’s our home. We arrived very late, so it was such a nice gesture to find water and fresh fruit in the fridge. The view is so nice to wake up to, too. You will need approx. 5 min. to walk to the beach where you can find Kostas who makes sure the beach is kept clean. You will also find two places to get coffee and snacks there. However, you have to adapt to the slope leading to and from the house. A powerful engine in your car is helpful. Above all, the high-quality equipment and cleanliness made the stay super pleasant. The owner answers super quickly if you have any questions.

The apartment was big enough, the beds soft,

The apartment was big enough, the beds soft, terrace was very good, sea view good. Swimming in the sea was pleasurable. The parking place below the terrace was sometimes noisy. The owner Maro was very helpful, she organized free transport to the restaurant every day, This restaurant Spiros Soula was very good but far from the apartment.

Lygaria is very picturesque and relatively quiet.

Lygaria is very picturesque and relatively quiet. The sea is clear and great for a bit of snorkelling (there is also a SCUBA diving organisation if something more adventurous sought); although the waterline is a bit rocky beneath the surf, but only a minor inconvenience getting in and out of the sea. The restaurants and cafes are fine, with something for most diets, all fresh and at decent prices. Everyone we met was friendly and I'd go back again (if that didn't require enduring the tortures of powered flight).

It’s perfect if you stay at a house or villa for a relaxing...

It’s perfect if you stay at a house or villa for a relaxing vacation. To explore the surrounding area you need a car though. There’s only one supermarket, which has a little bit of everything but if you want more fresh groceries, you need to drive to Agia Pelagia. The beach is cute, the water amazing and clear. In high season and on weekends it can get pretty crowded.

The host was very kind and helpful and when we arrived we found some water in the fridge. The sea view from the balcony was amazing, we loved sitting at the little table. We really appreciated the comfort of the coffee maker and the electric kettle. Many beaches nearby, we really suggest Lygaria, quiet beach with some cute tavernas (just 3 min by car).

The room is small (for max. 2 people), but has everything you need including a small kitchen. It is right in front of Lygaria beach. Great sea view from the window and there is a big terrace in front of the apartment door as well. The food is also very good in Anatoli Lygaria Taverna downstairs, to which this apartment actually belongs.
