4 days are enough to see everything the island has to offer. 5 days can be also nice but not more. Definitely go for the boat trips to the shipwreck and the local blue caves, also the turtle island Marathonisis and the Keri caves. Highlights of the trip. Don't eat in Laganas, search for grill restaurants on the inside of the island... you won't regret. Laganas looks better at night than during the day, but has a very relaxed atmosphere and locals are very friendly. Suggest going at end of season if you aren’t into the party scene. Laganas beach has lovely clean sea and clean sand. Laganas has a great selection of restaurants and plenty of souvenir shops which aren’t all full of tat. Plenty of pharmacies and medical assistance is available if necessary. Do yourself a favour and hire scooters from George on the main strip and explore the island on them - the most unforgettable sense of freedom and fun!Guest review byLangridge - 8.0
Laganas is definitely the place to meet people.
Laganas is definitely the place to meet people. I went towards the end of season which suited me just fine as I still considered it busy. There's plenty of places to eat and drink. Police are always on the strip at night, and the place generally feels safe. In my opinion the better beach if further up in the next town but its in walking distance so that's fine I feel like there's something for everyone here. I like Latin American music so really enjoyed Cubaneros. I also liked Carpe Diem and Tasos for food. Was quite busy with quite a few party goers along the main road with lots of burger bars and clubs for those that want that and plenty of little supermarkets, pharmacy, souvenir shops, and activity rental places where you can book bus transfers to turtle tours, shipwreck tour, watersports beach (about 45 min bus ride away but we'll worth it, all the watersports you can think of), plus bus trips to water slide park. So very convenient and the beach front bars and restaurants are superb, fresh seafood, amazing cocktails, ovelooking the sea. Away from the main high street, really relaxed vibe and nice mix of tourists, friendly, safe and good for all ages.Guest review byAnonymous

Great hospitality, great service, all 24hour on air with the headmaster of the apartments. You can enter all the shops you need during walking to the beach or back. Central street just to Laganas beach, lots of caffees, restaurants and fast foods. If you don't want to walk there is a bus right to the beach. Clean, quiet, safe, pretty territory.
