Amazing customer service, a nice calm vibe set the tone of the stay. An ideal location close to the old town allowed for an easy walk to dinner. Luxury indeed! We booked an Executive Suite Sea Front with Private Pool and it was everything we hoped it would be! Room extremely clean and comfortable, the pool just next to some grass and then the beach. Perfect! The staff was also fantastic. Very helpful from the start to finish, every each one of them make you feel welcome and special by being helpful without bothering you. They were accommodating and eager, always appreciated in a 5 star hotel. You can feel the hotel is new, everything works and isn't worn out. The main pool seem nce and fun enough, even if we didn't use it. The main restaurant (included in the Half-Pension rate) is pretty good. No fine gourmet but frankly, I prefer a diverse and fresh buffet for breakfast and dinner than fine dining. There are 2 other à la carte restaurant that also organize special nights, but we didn't try them. The beach is a mix of sand and pebbles (you'll need swimming shoes to go in comfortably) and extends very far. So even if the hotel doesn't organize anything special, you can easily find activities to do a bit further. Be aware that there can be a lot of wind and currents : swimming was forbidden for 3 days for us. All in all a fantastic stay at a beautiful hotel, would recommend without hesitation!

The hotel has a perfect location - direct across the marina, on one side you have the beach and on the other side old city center. We booked two rooms with sea view - rooms are specious, clean and have perfect view. Beds were also very comfortable. Hotel has excellent breakfast, apart from buffet - everyday the kitchen prepares special breakfast dishes. The stuff were extremely kind and helpful. They helped us for organizing transport to Heraklion and we relied on their restaurant suggestions heavily(which were excellent). We will definitely come again! Savos and Retymno were the best part of our Crete trip

The hotel is in the perfect location - one step outside the door and you’ll be soaking up all the atmosphere of Rethymno’s old town! The standard room we booked was spacious, comfortable and very pretty. It was perfect and had everything we needed! The team is really lovely. Athena made sure our room was ready for an early check-in. On top of that, they were welcoming and friendly to talk to. Thank you for making our stay even more special than it was! Would definitely go back :)

Just wonderful! Loved the atmosphere with the cute little pool in the courtyard and my bedroom was beautiful and so well designed. It was small but perfectly formed. Quality towels bathrobes slippers and a cute canvas bag with towels for beach was great! I felt so comfortable and relaxed here and will definitely return with my husband. Great kitchen for those who want to self cater and constant complimentary water coffee tea etc it would be ideal for a private group to book the rooms and have the place together with a kitchen like that and a great front living area. In all my travels I never met anyone as sweet as the cleaning lady she was adorable with a heart of gold and she works so hard and has the place gleaming! Even without English speaking we could communicate and I loved meeting her. The manager was a very nice lady with lots of information about the history of the house. I will be back! :) Oh and the bed was perfect as was the pillows and good pillows are hard to find in hotels!
