Gouvia is a village type resort that spiked off the main road to Corfu town . Lots of restaurants and a few bars / motorcycle rentals , supermarkets, tour trips booking centre and apartments and hotels , Everything you need for your hols to hand . The supermarkets are really reasonably priced . The restaurants are plentiful and also priced well . Gouvia is a lovely area, I went with a group of girls in our mid twenties. It was very relaxing and some lovely restaurants (I would really recommend the seafood linguine at 9 muses). Gouvia has some lovely beaches within a couple of minutes of our hotel. It is typically people in their mid 50s but great for a more relaxing, lounge by the pool kind of holiday. We got the bus into the old town or Ipsos to go for drinks/club vibes, which were super easy to navigate and way cheaper than a taxi. We stayed in Gouvia as this was the base for a wedding party. Otherwise may not have chosen to visit, but would not be averse to staying there again for a late season sunshine beach holiday. A number of tavernas were already closing by early/mid October. Since the hotel is located only 3-4 minutes walk from the bus station from where you can take buses to many places in the north of Corfu, it can serve as a perfect base for island exploration. The cleanliness was superb and spotless. The luggage storage possibility was a huge plus. Corfu town was only 15 min drive away. We got a scooter and were able to see both sides of the island within half an hour except sidari which is about an hours drive. I also really like the pool and the pool area. The sunbeds were comfy and it was a decent size. The property is quiet which was enjoyable sometimes felt like you had the pool to yourself.
