When we arrived we got welcomed by the owner of the hotel. The room was very beautiful, cozy, clean and with a good working air conditioning. The cleaning service did every day a great job. I’m our room we had the nice balcony with a sunset on the sea every night. From our balcony we could also see the swimming pool, with the hot weather it was really nice to go for a dive there and lay in the sun. Every morning we had a good and diverse breakfast. The staff was always really nice and polite, when we were going for dinner the owner of the hotel brought us to the city center. These 2 days we experienced as more than perfect and very lovely. Thank you Elafonisos Mare for your hospitality and everything else!!

One of the most amazing places.

One of the most amazing places. Beaches are wide and long with lot of place for finding a secluded corner just for yourself, sea is warm and beautiful with alluring colours and views are breathtaking. We loved Kato Nissi beach and Lefki and enjoyed snorkelling over ancient Pavlipetra city. The village of Elafonisos is vivid with lot of tavernas and places for enjoyable evenings. Perfect holiday spot. Anywhere you sit you’ll get good food and good service. Moving around the island is easy, but you’ll need a car. Getting to Elafonisos is also easy with ferries going from Pounta every 30 minutes with costs of 16 EUR for 2 adults and a vehicle.

Ideal place for a short (3-4 days) holiday. Beautiful beaches (although when it is windy there are waves), and lots of tavernas and fish restaurants in the port. To get there is a 4.5 hours drive from Athens to Pounta, and a 15 mins ferry ride from Pounta to Elafonisos with several ferries crossing every 30 mins. Small Simos beach is the best, and you can find very spaceous umbrellas but pricey (50-60 euros for 3 persons)

Basically an Island characterised only by it's beach Simos . Some fine dining in the city and being a nature sancturay Natura 2000 you can get to see the gorgeous Karetta stroling in the sea of the port

We just returned from another wonderful 9-day trip to...

We just returned from another wonderful 9-day trip to Elafonisos — a place we visit every year and never get tired of. The island remains one of Greece’s true hidden gems, with incredible beaches like Simos and Panagia, crystal-clear waters, and a peaceful, authentic atmosphere. We always make a point to visit outside the peak months of July and August, when the island is quieter and even more enjoyable. Everything is within easy reach — great tavernas, cafés, and small shops — and the pace of life is exactly what we need to unwind. Even after so many visits, Elafonisos continues to be our go-to destination for a relaxing and refreshing escape.

Elafonisos is a quaint island with a nice selectin of shops, local artists, great restaurants, and several beautiful beaches. We spent most of our two full days at Simi Beach during the day and in the little town in the morning and evening, but I wish we had stayed two more days and spent more time at the other beaches. I would have also liked to drive around the entire island to see it, which w will definitely do next time. Definitely worth seeing!

A very chill island with crystal clear waters! Lovely for families and all. Our favourite beach is Agia Panaia. Having a car on the island was great to travel out to Simos, great water activities there. We found most eateries lovely.

The staff were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We were offered a choice of rooms on arrival and the one we chose had a very comfortable bed, a good-sized bathroom, a lovely terrace where we could sit and admire the view of the sea, as well as a safe and a good- sized fridge. Beach towels are supplied for when you want to go to one of the beautiful beaches on the island. The hotel was within ten minutes' walk of the town and port which meant we could leave the car in the evening when we went into town for dinner and drinks.

Voula's house is the best place you can stay in the city of Elafonisos! Great location - 3 minutes from the ferry and all the shops and restaurants in the town but in a quiet street with a great private outdoor space. Voula is a great host that welcomes you as a family member and treats you the same way during your stay. The house is equipped with everything you need (even Greek wine, olives and fruits) and is perfectly clean. Great value for money and a place we would love to come back with our two kids.

Our room was bright, airy very clean and quiet. Kristi was very helpful and welcoming from the moment of booking the room until the day we left. We felt like friends staying in her home rather than a hotel. Location is excellent for the beach, restaurants and the ferry to the island.

Given we stayed here pre season the staff were excellent, the rooms were spotlessly clean and nothing was too much trouble. Everything seemed fairly new and if you want a hotel with kitchen capabilities on/ very close to beach then book now.
