Freshly renovated apartment, kitchen is new and functional. The climate in this hillside is dry and chilly at night, so you will rarely use the air conditioning. Sifis, Sabine, Petros and his grandfather are the kindest and most hospitable hosts I have ever met. They do produce outstanding Olive oil and marmalade as well as soap. The house is big and it has all what one needs. You can watch the stars in the evening from the terrace upstairs. Many cats in the surroundings are well taken care of from people of the village (much appreciated from my children!). The owner brought us some fantastic grapes. It's in the mountains, so it's not hot in the evening and perfect place to relax after crowds in Stalida or Malia. Convenient also to visit Heraklion or Cnossos, about 30 minutes by car. When in the village follow the signs to the Gorge, the house is soon on the left after taking the road towards the Gorge from the Church square. You can park just outside the house entrance.
