We had an amazing and wonderful stay at Chromata Assos Villas. The village is a delight, it is so quiet and off the main tourist route. The villas are beautiful and superbly set up with just about anything you might possibly need. Panos and Popi were excellent communicators before our arrival and ensured our arrival was seamless and smooth from the airport. We booked very early and were given an upgrade, which was very generous and we appreciated this. Panos provides the best, carefully created (by himself) gourmet breakfasts made from fresh local produce. Each day something different. I have coeliac with dairy intolerance and he catered for my particular dietary requirements so very well and most creatively. He is friendly, helpful, thoughtful and a most excellent host. The villas are just up the hill from the little town square, where the beach, restaurants and minimart are situated. We would go down to swim in the incredibly clear blue green sea twice a day, then make another trip for water (you have to buy drinking water in Assos - the reticulated town water is salty ground water) and any other needs. There are a three or four excellent restaurants where you can eat and an incredible bakery.

We had a balcony on a postcard, simply amazing! The host was very nice and friendly, the room is comfortable and so romantic. P.S. delicious home-made pie. We hope to have the chance to come back.

This is by far the best place to stay in Fiskardo. Location is perfect. It's very close to the main street, so it's easy to access and has lots of free parking places around. It is close enough to the port and the center of the village so you can get a taste of the vibe, but also far enough so it is quiet. The staff here is the kindest we ever came across, and they made our stay perfect. It was simply a pleasure being in their presence. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and the air conditioning does a great job. They are also doing an awesome job cleaning them on a daily basis. We stayed in the Suite, so we had a whole apartment for ourselves, including a private entrance and a huge private terrace with nice view over the pool. The breakfast is made with local products, it is delicious and healthy. It has super tasty omelettes, local cheeses, freshly baked cookies, marmalades, fresh fruits... they are all addicting! As a bonus point, in case you need to work remotely, the WiFi is good enough, we had no issues with it.

    Asos is a lovely little village with a much more relaxed feel to nearby Fiscardo. There are a couple of nice bars and restaurants in the harbour area. In the evening we ate at Three Wise Monkeys, which was excellent.

    Lovely small village, two days stay enough.

    Lovely small village, two days stay enough. Great scenic walk up to the Asos castle, we recommend it - beautiful sunset spot and views of the small village. Gorgeous colourful villas, lovely walking around the village. Food is good, but not the best we had in Kefalonia. Supermarket prices are high, make sure you shop for groceries before you arrive.

    Asos was so relaxing with amazing views, people were very friendly. Cheeky Monkeys and Three Wise Monkeys both food excellent. Can Hire a boat, or a paddle board which we did. Sunbeds and umbrellas can hire for the day. Take beach Shoes as beach - pebbles and sea warm. Shoes Can buy at the supermarket opposite fantastic bakery. Walked up to the Castle which took us about 1 hour and 40 minutes but was worth the walk. Also stopped and swam at Myrtos Beach before going to Asos also pebbles.

    We have been to Assos before, but wanted to revisit for a couple of nights. Assos is a beautiful, peaceful village and a great place to stop for a few nights and not have to drive as lovely to walk around. We revisited the castle and spent much longer exploring this time. Assos is such a pretty place with lovely places to eat and a fantastic bakery also selling takeaway coffees etc at very good prices and the cakes are delicious 😋 It has a lovely atmosphere at night as well with some stunning skies. Absolutely recommend staying here

    Relaxing location. Beautiful views. Very kind locals. Recommend eating at The three wise monkeys restaurant. We used the local taxi firm who were excellent. The local bakery sells delicious cakes, pastries and coffee 😀

    ASOS is a small village full of pretty painted houses...

    ASOS is a small village full of pretty painted houses reflecting its Venetian heritage. It has an excellent cafe and three traditional Greek tavernas - the best one being in the village square opposite the cafe. A varied menu full of delicious home made food. Run by the wonderful Panagiotis. We ate there both nights. The village is very simple and doesn’t feel like a tourist trap. In September, if you want to be in the sun the far side of the bay receives the most sunlight all day into the evening. The added benefit is that there are no cars in the village. Taxis can come in and out but hire cars are in a large car park next to the pathway up to the remains of a castle on the hill. The views along the coast are magnificent. It’s easy to walk around the village. A two night stay was about right and we are glad to have visited.

    Sweet pension, set up the hill behind ASOS. Very pretty. Our room was. charming, clean & a comfortable bed. A lovely view to the sea. A small balcony with table & chairs. There was a fridge in the room. The bathroom was clean & shower good. The owners were very kind in accommodating us in a room with few steps

    The view from the hotel across the bay is just stunning. The apartment is very comfortable and was good value for money. Nice breakfast served on your terrace. The owners have thought hard about what the guests would want. Parking is a bonus (and probably essential)
