It is a very clean and very nice town, with a lot of things to see and a lot of stuff to taste (prized wines from Papantonis Winery-www.papantonis.gr), traditional Greek food (we went to ”The Cave” restaurant and discovered the holy grail with the provatina). Our room was spacious, equipped with anything we could need (especially a fridge) and spotlessly clean. We wanted to start our tour of Greece with Mycenae. Argos proved to be a perfect base (just 11 km from the archaeological site - easily accessible with one of the many local taxis for a very affordable price).
