Note this review is for Stegna, not the main village on the hill. Its really a lovely spot for a beach style holiday. Places for fishing, chilling, enjoying eating, a lovely walk. Perfect chill spot with a family feel. If you are looking for night life and big hotels, this is not the spot for you. Notwithstanding the 15 minute walk from our accommodation to the town centre, we really enjoyed our time in Archangelos. I would recommend for people that like staying in a very Greek town and preferably to those who are hiring a car, should they wish to visit beaches. A lovely clean and modern house, well-equipped, with a large garden with lots of seating areas, and a barbecue, and wonderfully welcoming owners. Quietly situated in a rural position amongst olive groves, yet only five minutes from the main east coast road, so an excellent base for exploring. Nearby Stegma and Charaki were both lovely, low key with a few tavernas, and the interior of the island offers interesting towns and quiet roads. Rhodes Old Town is a must see, as is Lindos, although very crowded - go early! A trip to beautiful Symi via ferry from Rhodes Town is highly recommended.Guest review bydjt14United Kingdom
