The place was so beautiful, the staff were so kind and always willing to help you. IMPORTANT: They ALWAYS have smiles on their faces, and they are perfectly English speaking. Beautiful views from almost all parts of the hotel, with a clean and big pool surrounded with sunbeds. The beach and few supermarkets are so close to the hotel (5-10 min of walk). The hotel also has a bar & restaurant at the pool where you can eat or drink some of the great Greek and other specialties.

Our stay at Archontiko Villas was simply magical. The property is surrounded by nature and beautiful olive trees, in a peaceful and timeless setting. Pavlos and Dimitris were fantastic hosts – always available, kind, and thoughtful. We never lacked anything, and their warm hospitality truly made us feel at home. The accommodation was perfect for our needs, ideally located close to both Alykes town center and the sea, with every comfort within reach. Absolutely a 10/10 experience.

    If you like a quieter holiday, which has everything you need...

    If you like a quieter holiday, which has everything you need in the way of restaurants, shops, cocktail bars, beach etc... then Alykes is right for you. We loved it there. [ It is within walking distance of Alykanas too, which is busier and more your typical beach holiday. However that wasn't for us].

    Chilled resort with a very good selection of restaurants, bars and shops. Watersports on the beach, plenty of sunbeds. Lots of lovely walks and another resort close by. The locals are friendly and very helpful

    Alykes is an absolute gem of a place. Beautiful beaches. Very friendly locals. Love the mode of transport in the evening. Plenty of restaurants and food is delicious. It has enough to keep everyone happy. Not over commercialised. and not too busy. Just nice. We went early June. Temperature perfect. Fishandia and paradosiako restaurants are well worth a visit. Hakuna matata is just down from Golden Dolphin apartments is great for a spot of lunch. Plenty to choose from and lovely staff.

    I have been staying in Alykes for 35 years. It is a beautiful village with very friendly people, plenty of restaurants and bars without being overly noisy and a great base from which to explore the island.

    The warmth of the Zakynthians.

    The warmth of the Zakynthians. The food and the easy-going relaxed atmosphere. Take some time to talk to the waiting staff, as well as the owners of the establishments. You’ll learn so much and begin to feel the place. If I had to mention any negatives it would have to be the tourists who expect too much, too quickly and are surly and rude to the hosts. Try Anatolikos Apartments Bar. It’s Al fresco and totally peaceful. Olga, Tina, George, Yota and Adonis will make you feel right at home. Try No Name Bar or Hakuna Matata Bar or Paradisio or the Palm Tree. All are so welcoming and friendly. The Apoll Taverna is excellent and Jani, Angela, Haris, Kiki and all are too much fun. Our go to place. Fishalida is also excellent. Always recognised from previous years and always warmly welcomed. Your meal with the sea and views of Kefalonia are a must do. Whispers Bar for a drink and dance and grand traditional music playing, live. Nikos is a skilled host for whom nothing is too much trouble.

    EVERYTHING! This Accommodation has to be right up the top of my list. The location was fantastic, the views incredible, the studio apartment was clean and modern, and the family owners were just lovely. Ive just got home to the UK and I'm missing it already. I cant wait to go back. It is a little away from everything, but I was aware when I booked this. You can walk into Alykes, it took me about 20 mins, but that was in the extreme heat. It's a hidden gem in my opinion 🥰

    Spacious 2 bedroom great for small or younger families. Didn’t see much of the host, only on arrival but they left fruit for us in the fridge as well as plenty of water. Beautiful accomodation overall. A little pricey but compared to Zakynthos centre was well priced, and much nicer than staying in the centre. Alykes has its own centre with cafe and bar lined Main Street.
