Safe village with rich Svaneti Historical museum. Worth to visit Laghami church as well. In the country, which is famous for wines, visiting local beer brewery "Setieli" might be an exotic adventure and fun. Favourite place to eat Lanchvali restaurant, if too tired to get up to the hill, "Lushnu Our" might be the second choise, although too crowdy. Cable car get you up to Zuruldi masiff. We really liked Mestia surrounded by magnificent mountains.
We really liked Mestia surrounded by magnificent mountains. It's a small cozy town. Wooden and stone buildings perfectly complement the mountain scenery. As for food, for a small town there is a good choice of restaurants, cafes, and there are also small grocery stores. In Mestia, we saw the Ethnographic Museum, the Margiani Museum, the Mikheil Khergiani Museum, we saw Ushba and the Ethnographic Museum there, the Svan towers, the water and food in Mestia are very delicious, the air is clean, the local people are extraordinary, we still have other places to see and we plan to visit Svaneti again.Guest review byAnonymousGeorgia - 10.0

The journey up through the mountains from Zugdidi to Mestia is itself outstanding for the beauty of the mountain scenery that one passes through. The amenities are great, the cabin is so clean and cozy, it feels like home rather than a rental place. You can feel that it is loved and cared for by the owners, who are also great and helpful people. The location is fantastic, just a 4 mins walk to the centre of Mestia. The cabin's terrace feels so cozy with the lights on in the evening, and the view from the cabin is amazing too. The cabin is by far the best that we have been to in Georgia!
