Excellent stay at Svanieri We had a wonderful time at Svanieri. The privacy and quietness were exactly what we were looking for. The location offers great tranquility away from noise and crowds just on the hiking trails. Cleanliness of the house was outstanding, with everything spotless and well-maintained. We would definitely recommend this place to travelers seeking a quiet and private accomodation. We'd be happy to return in the future.

Very kind and hospitable hosts. Young girl spoke English. I got enormous and delicious dinner and breakfast. They were even kind enough to give me a ride to the main road where I could catch a bus. Definitely my best stay in Svaneti.

How can I describe this amazing place??? The view was to die for, the room was cozy, warm and had everything we needed, the wifi super strong. Breakfast was rich and tasty, the dinners were delicious, probably the best food we had in Georgia! Ok, those things are to be expected...What is not expected and came as a big surprise, is the warmth of the hosts, the friendly chats around the fire at night, the laughs after all thoise treats of chacha! The Grand Hotel Ushba is really beautiful situated in the Becho Vally and offers an ideal starting points for (day or longer) hikes in the area. As a matter of fact, we thought the views from the valley were some of the most stunning we saw during our overall 4 days in Svaneti. The host Richard is an expert on hiking and other outdoor activities in the area and he gave us some really good tips! He also lent us his book with hikes in Svaneti region that was very helpful. We had dinner twice which was not only tasty and exactly what we needed after a long day of hiking, but also in a very nice atmosphere, cozy and with a lot of attention to detail. Breakfast was also great (warm and filling, and also available at 7 am which allowed us to start our hike early). The rooms are clean and cozy, again nicely decorated with great attention to detail.

Great location, good food and a very helpful manager (Murman) that helped us with suggesting hikes, arranging transport on short notice, arranging horse ride and sending his very nice dogs with us as "guides" on our first hike.

Beautiful little place with a view of the mountain range from the front. The property itself is very cosy and warm when it’s cold outside. The kitchen has everything necessary for a longer stay - we were there for 2 weeks. There are some good natured, cute stray animals around the area that may come to say hello, so if you miss your pets at home these guys can help bridge that gap
