It was a great room and total value for money. It was bright clean and airy with a nice view of the street and we loved the set up for Teas and coffees and breakfast the next day. The staff were so friendly nothing was too much trouble and our evening meal was really nice and again exceptional value for money. We were walking Hadrian's Wall trail and Wylam is literally a short walk from it. They were brilliant with our baggage, accommodating the luggage transfer and even putting it in the room before arrival.

We were doing the C2C and it was the best hotel. Very comfy, they help us with the bikes. Amazing breakfast... Special mention for Georgia who help us in the breakfast (we were 6 and we were quite annoying asking her a lot). She answered and resolve everything with a smile and she didn't complain. Very pleased with the experience. When I arrived I was a little confused that the bar was the reception desk. But I received pleasant help from a young employee, who followed me all the way to the room. There was a good atmosphere, and the room itself was in a building approx. 50 m from the bar area.

Best thing was the local train service from Newcastle as my son was arriving from London on Friday night, and just hopped on the 2 carriage train arriving at 11pm and saved me a trip back to Newcastle! Great scenic walks - well sign-posted. And all very close to Hadrian's Wall - by car 15/20 minutes. Good coffee shops etc plus both a SPAR and Co-Op. And a Sunday craft market. Cricket pitch & good children's playground. Lots to see and go and do for outside folk.

It was presented as a pub with bed and breakfast but the pub was always closed and the breakfasts rudimentary fare in the bedrooms. No-one on site at any time. It was difficult to locate staff when we arrived. After long search, a mobile phone number stuck to a back door was located. The landlady when found was pleasant and apologetic - they had recently taken it over and it was not really ready. This was understandable but what was currently available should have been made clear which it certainly wasnt.

Wylam is nice little village friendly locals. The Ship advertises breakfast on their web page but we didn’t get one. The landlady was on holiday same time we stayed so wonder if that’s the reason why we never got a breakfast. We paid £87 night for small room with very old beds. We had no shower gels or soaps and had to buy from chemist. Joanne landlady was on holiday hence reason for no breakfast which is stated on website. The room was clean but bed was very old and rickety. The pub bar staff were very friendly but very limited knowledge on accommodation almost to the point they was frighten to say anything. I did ask if they would pay £87 night for a rickety old bed in 9x11 room. We aldd sad o had to make our own bed every day / night had there been availability we would have gone to another property..... very disappointed would like some one to call to explain how the dearest accommodation in Wylam yet the only one that doesn’t supply a breakfast

Great little place with friendly locals and very good real ales! We Just found it a little short on eating places on certain nights so visitors need to be aware. However, the village Co-op came to our rescue!

Loved that the house was in walking distance to shops, pubs etc The house was immaculately clean We were impressed with the water filtration system as we only drink filtered water and thought we would have to buy bottled water, huge bonus So much better than staying in a b&b or hotel and cheaper too if there are a few of you We were visiting family who live nearby but couldn't accommodate 6 of us. We will definitely stay here again

The location was perfect quiet country pub, Beautiful place inside perfect for the Christmas period, staff were the best, the hotel was imaculatey clean with the nicest smelling rooms! Food was absolutely banging! Best sticky toffee pudding to date.
