Woodbridge is a still vibrant town with lots of independent shops. Good selection of places to eat. Outside of the shops there are museums of the rich sailing heritage and a beautiful river walk in both directions from The Old Station House.

Loved Woodbridge. So friendly and quiet.

Loved Woodbridge. So friendly and quiet. Very interesting history re the museum, the long ship and the Tide Mill. Loved walking along the River Deben, spotting the two sisters. Sutton Hoo is a must. Great eating places, Marlowe’s, The Anchor - very good meals. Loved the church and the architecture and history of the whole area, houses and fantastic shops too. Very accessible for Southwold, Orford, Aldeburgh, Saxmundham etc al.

Woodbridge is a lovely un-spoilt town with several good pubs and restaurants. The Deben riverside with the Tide-Mill and restaurants is very pleasant and the Anglo-Saxon boat project in the Longshed a must.

A beautiful town with some interesting old buildings.

A beautiful town with some interesting old buildings. There were plenty of places in which to eat and drink. Pub prices were a bit expensive, though. The Whistlestop cafe near the station is good value for money. Woodbridge is close to Sutton Hoo, which is a fascinating place to visit.

We used Woodbridge as the center point to visit Framlingham...

We used Woodbridge as the center point to visit Framlingham and Great Glennham and Sutton Heath and the coast. if we had stayed a little longer we could have spent more time in each place and have had time to see everything in Woodbridge. We did not get to the Tide Mill and could have spent more time just walking around town to see all there was to see. And with more time we could have walked to Sutton Hoo instead of getting a ride. Also could have gone to Saxmundham.

An attractive town, convenient for visiting Sutton Hoo and its Anglo-Saxon treasures (a short taxi ride from Woodbridge Station), as well as the wider area. A good rail service from Ipswich and the mainline. The town itself is historic but also has some good shops such as Sea Salt and Fat Face, comfortable cafes and pubs.

We booked this hotel literally about 15 minutes before arriving. Check in was brilliant. Booking was found quickly and shown to our room by very friendly staff. As it was a Sunday afternoon we weren't sue as to whether we would be able to get food but pub was very busy and food was served until 8pm. We had a very nice Sunday roast with a lovely selection of fresh veg. Breakfast was lovely with some different choices all cooked to order. Pub very convenient for touring Woodbridge and 5 mins walk to the riverfront,

Hotel was ideally situated for our visit to Woodbridge. Only stayed overnight and didn’t take advantage of the leisure facilities which did look very good. The property on the whole was good but a little jaded on the edges. There were some maintenance issues - bathroom and lighting but overall good value for money. Would stay again.

Historic property located in south Suffolk countryside. Although it’s an old property the rooms are modern and very comfortable. The ground floor retains many original features. Excellent menu featuring delicious local produce. Very friendly staff. We had afternoon tea which was also delicious.

Plenty of well laid out parking at the front of the property. The room was spacious and clean with an en suite shower room. Owner helpful and friendly. The property is in an ideal location for exploring the Suffolk coast. It's within walking distance of Woodbridge and Sutton Hoo.
