I loved the energy of the staff, helped me when I forgot some items and he was a great company to talk to. I usually am quiet but was very comfortable and a bit chatty during my stay. Had a good rest too, this stemmed from the fact that the place was clean.

We stayed at this property for 7 nights and had a truly enjoyable experience. The house was immaculately clean throughout, which made it feel very comfortable and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding area while still being in a peaceful setting, every room having its own TV’s available to use. The owner was a wonderful lady, extremely kind and attentive, which added a personal touch to our stay. The property itself was thoughtfully set up for families, with a selection of board games that kept the children entertained, and the outdoor seating area was beautifully arranged, offering a relaxing space to unwind at any time of the day.

Excellent stay, great peaceful location, excellent information from the host and spotlessly clean. It was only a one night stop over for us but had everything we needed and more. If we are back in the area again we would definitely stay longer, very highly recommend thank you.

    The owners and the food. I stayed here on my way up to Edinburgh over the BH weekend. Its a real gem of a place. Locals were friendly, food was great and the owners could not have been more helpful. I'm so glad I detoured away from Carlisle and stayed there. Really worth a 5 star review.

    Cleanliness, Friendliness, Helpfulness. Cheerful staff, delicious food, well stocked bar and comfortable bar area and dining room. Local area fascinating lots of places to eat and drink if you fancy a change from the hotel, Lots of things to see and do within a short drivig distance.

    Overall, good value for money. I was visiting family and friends but Wheyrigg would be a handy base for visiting the Lakes or the coast. My room was clean and comfortable, if a bit tired (as others have mentioned). The new owners are gradually updating the bedrooms so it will be interesting to see the improvements (the bar area would benefit from modernisation too). Friends joined me for dinner: the food and the service were both good.

    We enjoyed a great stay at Wheyrigg Hall. The hotel is in a great location for touring Cumbria and the Lakes. It is in a nice rural area and being set back from the road we did not get disturbed at night by traffic noise. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's rest. Dinner was excellent as was the breakfast. Very friendly, helpful staff too.
