Attention from the hosts was brilliant! We had an initial tour upon arrival, and anything we needed, they were there to help us. The decoration and atmosphere of the place was very unexpected and amazing! It was friendly, tasteful and welcoming. The manor was quiet during our stay, so we were able to enjoy it almost for ourselves, including a long chat on the sofa after the cream tea and the swimming pool. Emma, the spa consultant, was just brilliant! Had an amazing 60 minute massage, and could have stayed for much longer! The attention to detail was amazing. Homemade cookies waiting for us in the room, and a bag with muffins for our journey back. Breakfast was just perfect. With a buffet and freshly cooked hot food to chose from, it was was an experience in itself.

Parking was a problem because of the location of the hotel. We didn’t realise that it was located right down on the wharf with little parking available. I would suggest more information is sent out . Loved everything else. Staff was lovely . Locals were very helpful too.

Not much to the village.

Not much to the village. There are a few shops and a pub but it's easy to get to the Eden Project and Fowey and not too far from Falmouth and Newquay. If you're self-catering Tesco and Lidl area short drive towards St Austell. There'e also a railway station at Par on the line between Penzance and Plymouth.

Tywardreath is an ideal location for exploring the area of Cornwall around Fowey, St Austell & beyond, Lots of lovely walks, coast & country & attractions such as Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock (National Trust) & Eden Project & much more. The village itself has good amenities including a bus service & a pub but there are plenty of eateries a short drive away.

We were only at the house for 2 nights, but we managed a visit to The NEW INN PUB, which was just down the road. The food was excellent, and very reasonably priced. The house lived up to its Quirky name, very clean and tidy. Would stay there again anytime.

Just had a very enjoyable week at Bluebell Cottage.

Just had a very enjoyable week at Bluebell Cottage. The property was immaculate, very well equipped and much of the furniture and the kitchen seems to be brand new. Tywardreath village is a good location. Whilst supermarkets are close by at St Austell TBH we could have provisioned the whole week from the village store and butcher. Prices very competitive. Shop, pub, Thai and fish and chip takeaway a few minutes walk away. Pub food restaurant quality. The garden is on several levels with steps and very nice. The main rear garden catches the evening sun so ideal for a wine at the end of the day. There is a security deposit to pay but we left all in good order and it was returned within 24 hours.
