Never actually went into village centre .

Never actually went into village centre . The Ship pub in Mundesley do nice food and they have a chip shop outlet .with outside seating overlooking the sea. Lovely beaches but not much else. You have the broads and yarmouth on the doorstep. Great area for outdoor types . The winding coast road to yarmouth throws up some nice surprises, the barn waxham for food , poppyland 40s cafe for interest and Horsey windmill. For coffee and sea views, and spot a seal try winterton sea front.

We stayed at Ocean Retreat Guest House which was lovely and had rooms with a lovely sea view. Also on the Sunday we had an excellent carvery dinner at Marlins, Woodland Holiday Park and Trimingham House Caravan Park which was just a few minutes away. Trimingham is not very big, but what it does have is a beach that is used by surfers, jet skiers, dog walkers and night-fishermen. It is reached by a steep one-vehicle only road accessed along a lane just past the building that used to be the Ingleside public house, now a private residence. The cliff face at Trimingham has the youngest chalk in the United Kingdom; it contains shells, bivalves, crinoids and oysters, and is subject to coastal erosion.

Not much to do for young people but great for older ages.

Not much to do for young people but great for older ages. Take everything with you, otherwise you'll constantly be in your car to get groceries. It's steep/hilly, sensible shoes needed, not good for disabled people. One of the most perfect beaches I've ever seen, but be aware no toilet or eating facilities.
