The house and grounds were the outstanding part of our stay.

The house and grounds were the outstanding part of our stay. The house oozes character and history. Perfect for a Highland stay. Felix and Sarah our hosts were friendly and helpful, a special mention to Phillipa who went the extra distance to make our stay perfect. If you want a true Highland experience then a stay at the Torridon estate will not disappoint.

Wanted to check out the town gallery to see if they sold the...

Wanted to check out the town gallery to see if they sold the Torridon estates artists work. People were inside, eating or such, and it said OPENED but the doors were locked. We were on our way out of town around 11:00 am. Sad..we were in the mood to buy and to have a hot drink! Doesn’t say much for the community! Also, on our way into town, the night before, 2 people were sitting out front of the local store or restaurant and we had our car top down and waved! They just stared at us! Not too friendly!

This is no ordinary accommodation as one is staying in a family home which is being developed by the owners. The bedrooms are well renovated with comfortable beds. No tv which did not bother us. Instead, the house is peaceful.

We called ahead to Torridon stores and placed a grocery order. Jo, at the stores, was most helpful and provided most of what we needed. The rest we picked up at Tesco in Inverness. There is another useful store at Sheildaig. We had excellent meals and service at the ‘Bo and Muc’, ‘The Walked Garden’ at Applecross, ‘Kishorn Seafood Bar’ at Kishorn. Ben View was perfect for a family get together with four generations spread out through the house. It is difficult to imagine finding a place that could offer better, ever-changing, views.

Torridon is simply one of the best places if you want to...

Torridon is simply one of the best places if you want to decompress and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The scenery is both dramatic and very beautiful, but also extremely peaceful and calming. I would love to visit this place at any time of the year (if it's accessible)

Torridon estate B&B has an eccentric charm whilst retaining being very Scottish. The location is absolutely stunning. Our room was beautiful with the comfiest bed ever. The continental breakfast was a refreshing change without a trace of fried haggis which was brilliant! Sarah and Felix are terrific hosts - but once booking in is done they just leave you to it, which was perfect. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return! One of the quirkiest and most interesting places we’ve stayed in on our NC500 trip.

A unique property and location. Located and the end of a long private drive alongside Loch Torridon. It has a grand Victorian panelled hall and staircase and gave me an immediate vibe of the Overlook Hotel from 'The Shining'. That said, I had one of the best nights sleep ever! Continental breakfast served in the room at set time. Room was great and individual. Take time to explore the grounds and various walks. Our host took time to show us the Hydro electric supply powered from the river.

The hostel is a great base to go hiking in torridon and the surrounding areas. The people who work there are friendly and gave some great suggestions on what hikes to do based on one's fitness levels and goals. The common lounge was amazing - gave a very luxury vibe to an otherwise good, clean hostel (which exceeded my expectations)

Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Went above and beyond to ensure I had a great visit to Torridon. The hostel is in a beautiful spot, with amazing views of the mountains. Food and drink selection was also great.
