The shopping is extensive, as can be expected from a Holiday resort area, with local shops as well as main brand chains. The Wetherspoons pub in the town entre served well prepared meals and a great range of beers. Once you are in the bay area it is all flat and easy walking, but some of the slopes out of the town are a little heavy going. I tried the coastal path and have to say you do need to be fairly fit to get through some parts of it. Has a little of everything to suit all ages. Crazy golf at the end of Belgrave Rd, with Cantina serving fabulous food, with lovely outside seating area. Torquay harbour is delightful, all around there is a great choice of places to eat , the walk about by the theatre and yachts' is very pleasant. Unfortunately like most towns the high street is lacking and is sad to see however there are some lovely beaches nearby and trips across the bay are available. My view of Torquay very nice easy to travel by bus nice and cheap. Plenty of places to eat at. You a find a lot of food if you don’t want fish and chips. The prices are not bad.
