High quality experience, highest standards, beautiful decor wonderful ambience. The Glenmorangie House experience and stay is nothing short of exceptional in every aspect. We were absolutely enthralled by our visit and would highly recommend this venue. The tasting dinner in a carefully created setting was beyond stunning we enjoyed whisky tasting coastal walks and a fabulous Scottish breaks too. Finlay and the staff were superb. There can be no higher accolades in Scotland than those deserved by Glenmorangie House.

The room was as expected. A great four poster bed with a large bath which had power jets. Don't know how good the wifi was as we used our own dongle/mi-fi. Lovely clean spacious room with coffee and tea made available. Hot water within the bathroom was always of a good temperature (unlike many other hotels we've used in the past) . A cooked scottish breakfast was included and was cooked to order (great haggis). Also the option of having a cold buffet breakfast with pastries etc. The staff were great, welcoming and always with a smile. Thanks to everyone who made our short stay so perfect.... had it not been for a prior engagement we would have stayed a third night.

It was such a lovely experience to be sleeping in a castle! Only stayed for one night, but enjoyed spending time reading in the common dining room and outside in the garden. The entry hall gives you the impression of being in a museum. The room was very clean. Parking is available on the grounds, but also 2 minutes away on the street. The village is also a nice place to visit, cafes, bakeries and restaurants are only a 10minute walk away.

I was visiting family so didn't need to find much to do to entertain myself. There are a couple of supermarkets in Tain & glass blowing factory. Lots of distilleries around if that's what your interested in. I did drive to Inverness for a shopping trip.

Our accommodation and the restaurant that was very close made our time in Tain absolutely wonderful. We also enjoyed the distillery that is a very short drive up the road. We hope to come back someday soon and explore more of the area.

Tain is a lovely quiet place to stay in but i did not like...

Tain is a lovely quiet place to stay in but i did not like the restaurant at the Station. Overpriced basic food which i would not go back for. I wish i had gone to the Tesco along the road, bought 3 Rib Eye Steaks and cooked at home as it would have been much better value for money!!!

We used this as a stopover travelling down from Orkney to Fife, the hotel was "just ok" but having to go to another hotel for a cooked breakfast made the pricing structure a bit over the top.

It's a small town in the far north of Scotland, if you are looking for swanky restaurants and nightlife, you need to go elsewhere. If you want peace and a nice walk on the beach, then Tain is perfect.

Quiet area with several options for food and drink.

Quiet area with several options for food and drink. Platform 1867 a fun restaurant with good food, friendly staff and lovely outside area. Plenty of shops and petrol stations. We didnt make it to the beach as travelling each day. Great base for North East and West coast. Good road and rail connections.

We had such a wonderful stay here! The hotel itself is lovely, and the atmosphere feels so welcoming. The receptionists were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. A special thank-you to one of the staff for their kindness when my mom wasn’t feeling well. They went out of their way to be supportive, which meant so much to us. We truly felt cared for, and we would happily stay here again.

We have been to Canterra Cottage before and just love the peace and tranquillity of this beautiful area. Everything is spotlessly clean and so comfortable and cosy. A small fridge with fresh milk and crockery and cutlery to allow you to have your own breakfast when you want is great. Maureen is a great host and this accommodation is certainly great value for money.

Beautiful house in the heart of Tain with lovely gardens. The room was very comfortable with view over the garden. Breakfast was fantastic and the owner very helpful in helping us organise another nights accommodation. Fabulous B and B !
