Its a beautiful area with lots of lovely villages.

Its a beautiful area with lots of lovely villages. Oxburgh Hall is very near too which is a stunning National Trust property. Just be careful when driving of the wild life - the pheasants in particular are crazy & don't always move out of the way in time. I visited many other places in Norfolk & did not stay just in Swaffham.

Lovely little village to stroll around.

Lovely little village to stroll around. Even had its own museum if you are that way inclined. Plenty of shops and lovely to see very limited on stupid vape shops, which seem to be far too many everywhere else. Charity shops were a joy to visit.

Swaffham is a picturesque town with many amenities.

Swaffham is a picturesque town with many amenities. The village we stayed in is typically English with a beautiful green and church and history surrounding it. The views from the pub are stunning. There is plenty of nature on your doorstop. The area is known as the Brecks and it is so quaint. There are plenty of pubs, eateries etc in the town centre. Whilst in Swaffham we visited Wells by the sea, lovely fish and chips, beautiful walks, plenty of indie shops to enjoy. Gorgeous harbour. We booked Sandringham for the day only 20 minutes by car from Swaffham and had yet another lovely day. Finally we visited Norwich to have a shopping day - visit Jarrolds which is Norwich’s main department store ( wonderful). The city has history and there’s a great sense of community and the people of Norfolk are very friendly. Cafe bars are a plenty and indie shops too. All in all a very pleasurable Bank Holiday weekend.

There is a couple of pubs and nicer places to eat and a few shops worth a stroll round but is a good base for travelling and exploring the area. We enjoyed visiting Oxborough hall, Castle Rising and Houghton Hall. Kings Lynn is not far nor is Sandringham.

Lovely market town, streets are clean with hardly any weeds.

Lovely market town, streets are clean with hardly any weeds. Every Sat is market day with a fantastic auction. Everyone is so friendly. Nice variety of quirky shops, eateries and pubs, with we love it, I am trying to persuade my wife to move there.

Just The Perfect Stay. Gold Cottage is a cosy and comfortable cottage with everything you require. There wasn't one thing I thought of that wasn't supplied. Extremely clean and inviting in decor and furnishings along with a beautifully kept garden. We were made so welcome. Location lovely quiet and yet very lively at the same time particularly with Swaffhams Saturday market and restaurants, pubs and cafes. Recommended!

The whole place was great - we had a number of rooms for a family get together and so the hotel was very good around providing us a private dining room for the duration of the stay. The rooms were all good and the place was very comfortable. The meals were all very nice and there was a good choice for everyone.
