Lovely little high street, lots of barbers and hairdressers.

Lovely little high street, lots of barbers and hairdressers. Plenty of places to eat and drink all seemed pretty popular which is good to see. All the shops I went in the staff were very friendly and helpful. Eastern Promise Indian restaurant was all that the reviews said. Good food, good prices and good service. Stony s bistro was pleasant. Cock Hotel was very good, nice vibe, friendly staff, good food and lots going on there.

Aside from where I stayed, there are plenty of other hotels/pubs and places to eat. It's a really long high street to explore, I'm sure someone could find somewhere to eat & drink to fit with their tastes. If you've driven in, there are plenty of different designated parking areas around and off of the high street. A town with a lot of history and some great old buildings to admire.

"We had a very pleasurable stay, close to the wedding venue.

"We had a very pleasurable stay, close to the wedding venue. Firstly, the reception was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, and the bed was so comfortable. The choice of breakfast menu was second to none. We would stay again without question, and the price was very reasonable with the breakfast-included option."

Stony Stratford is a historic market town famous for two inns - the Cock and the Bull. Travellers would go between the 2 inns telling tall tales. These tales would be further enhanced in the telling. Hence the saying A Cock & Bull story. There are many independent stores selling a range of goods. There is a riverside walk and a historic church. Richard III stayed there with one of his nephews (the Princes in the Tower fame) en route to the Tower of London. A plaque denotes the building in which he stayed. There are many coffee shops. Bean in Stony and Miss Havershams are our favourite. In the evenings we ate at The Cock where we were staying. The food is good quality and well cooked. We discovered a new fish which we had never heard of. It is called Telapia. It's very creamy and I recommend you try it.

Stony Stratford is a lovely pretty place everything is close to the High Street. There are lovely walks round the town and along the canal and nature reserves close by. All the parking everywhere is FREE. The pubs are great and all within walking distance of each other most of them serve reasonably priced food. There are also some good restaurants along the High Street , Indian, Italian, Chinese, Thai etc. The week i went was Stony Stratford's Festival of Music, Dance and Arts the whole place was buzzing with different things on all day and night and most of them were free. There is so much history to the town.

It is a nice little town with a good variety of interesting shops and a town full of character Plenty of parking nearby. We didn't eat in any of the restaurants as we stayed with family, but we had an Indian take away which was lovely.

Situation was great, a walk into Stony Stratford in 3-4 minutes and lots of pubs & Restaurants. We would recommend the Crown pub. The house was well equipped, the conservatory room was lovely to sit in as well as the garden. It is within easy distance of Bletchley Park, Waddesden Manor and other National Trust properties so lots to visit.

Breakfast good, the hotel bar was good atmosphere. Free parking. Location on high street. The room was larger than expected, like two rooms together with a sofa and two TVs.
