We particularly enjoyed the village/small town of Shaldon.
We particularly enjoyed the village/small town of Shaldon. Gorgeous little place by the estuary across from Teignmouth. We also took the Steam train from Paignton to Kingswear, ferry to Dartmouth, and river cruise from Dartmouth. Ferry back to Kingswear, then steam train back to Paignton - what a stunning day! Greenway is also highly recommended- the summer home of Agatha Christie. Perfect place to simply unwind and relax. (Thank you to Eve & Mike) Would recommend. Good facilities provided by the owners - who were on hand to assist, but totally respected our privacy. Cottage very well equipped. Gorgeous views over countryside from garden area. Easy to get to pub/restaurant in village - (ideally book a table). The Church House Inn. Tiny lane to reach A road but then easy access to Torquay, Babbacombe one direction and Teignmouth, Shaldon the other way.Guest review byDianeUnited Kingdom
