We used to live in Skegness so we knew that there's a great range of eating and drinking establishments. There are also plenty of things to do but the weather was not good, so we were restricted, as a beach walk was totally out of the question. We had visited Donna Nook to visit the seal sanctuary on day one and returned to Skegness for the evening. On the next day the weather was just too bad to do anything other than tour the town and local shops.

Skegness is a pleasant place to visit with your family.

Skegness is a pleasant place to visit with your family. There is plenty to do and very close to nearby places of interest and attractions which makes it a good base. The accommodation prices are reasonable. The beach is clean and safe with lots of space for the children. I enjoyed visiting the seal sanctuary and church farm which was a hidden gem and full of things from a gone by era. Gunby Hall a near by house and gardens which was full of charm the grounds being beautifully maintained and excellently knowledgeable staff.overall skegness is well worth a visit.

Not as good as I thought. So many fish and chip shop and not alot of anything else. Mablethorpe has a lovely beach, a little place where you can have a cuppa and watch the dogs playing on the beach. Lovely sweetshop with lots to choose from. Would i go to Skegness again no, disappointed

I love to see the sunrise out of the sea at Skegness.

I love to see the sunrise out of the sea at Skegness. A nice promenade and beach side path for walking/cycling. . A busy town with a good selection of traditional and modern chain shops and pubs, plus tourist attractions such as the seal sanctuary, pleasure beach and sea life aquarium, etc.

The town is a little rusty and out dated.

The town is a little rusty and out dated. I used to holiday there for 13 years when I was younger! A little boring with to many arcade machines. Definitely needs maintaining and more to do for adults.

Love the nostalgia of skegness. It never seems to get old.

Love the nostalgia of skegness. It never seems to get old. So much to do. So many things to see. You must visit the aquarium. Book online and look for deals. We found a deal for £30 for 4 of us. 2 kids 2 adults.

The location of the hotel was spot on; 2 minutes from the beach, 5 minutes from the town centre and on a quiet road. Alan and Jackie made us feel really welcome on arrival with a cup of coffee. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable but the best thing of all was the cooked breakfast. I'm not normally a fried bread fan but I was persuaded to have it and I wasn't disappointed - definitely a speciality. Lots of free parking which is always a plus. To sum it up, it was like home from home. Lovely stay.

Very warm welcome from Murray when we arrived, explained everything to us and we were able to check-in early. He also gave us a map of the local area showing where we were and recommendations of restaurants from previous clients which were both very useful. Very good location within walking distance of beach and town centre. Room was very comfortable with plenty of tea and coffee for us. If we were returning to Skegness we would return to the Kildare.
