We loved the space in the apartment. It was so well organised… easy to get the key and the box outside for shoes a great idea. Oven was super efficient. My granddaughter loved doing the jigsaws. Best bit was the quick access to the beach. Thanks for everything. Thoroughly recommend staying there.

18 Church Street is extremely well located and appointed - with a lovely kitchen, dining room and lounge and excellent bathrooms. Lots of lovely touches - like a great coffee machine, atmospheric lighting, wonderful log fire, board games, an outside space at the back with log burner and rugs for warmth. Best of all, the host is lovely - making you feel very welcome!

Beautiful house, lot of thought and attention put into the interior of house loved the nautical beach theme. All the amenities needed. Felt like we were at home almost straight away. Very sad that second home owners have taken over much of the accommodation.Locals struggle to find homes. Our cottage was ideally placed near shops bars pubs and restaurants. Parking was not too difficult but impossible if you have any difficulty walking due to steep roads and steps everywhere.

This was our first trip back to Salcombe after many years...

This was our first trip back to Salcombe after many years and not much has changed, it has kept its charm and is still, as I see, not over commercialised. It has a good selection of shops, restaurants and coffee houses. Many of the boat yard areas have been developed, but tastefully, modern and in keeping, bushelled in with some of the original trades and and buildings. The Salcombe Gin Distillery has a modern building with a bar over looking the river and creek where they will serve you your gin of choice, whilst relaxing in the comfortable surroundings or on a stall on the balcony watching the tide rise and fall. They also offer Gin School, where you design, make bottle and drink your own gin, an experience we worth doing on your trip to Salcombe, but it would be wise to pre-book this. I have to say that I didn't find anything negative about our visit, and would highly recommend a stay here

Usual South Devon village.

Usual South Devon village. Expensive and not much different from other similar locations. Crowded and to top it all the "Park and Ride" was shut although parking was relatively easy in the car parks at this time of year. Plenty of places to eat but recommend booking in advance for evening meals. Very dog friendly!

Salcombe is very nice, busy, should have stayed in a hotel, Plenty of nice shops, bought a lot of items to take home, car parks are very busy and quite a distance from the town centre even in September, streets very narrow, I think If you own a boat its fantastic, unfortunately we don't.

Lovely town some nice shops but quite expensive. Couple of nice pubs and several nice cafes. Worth the walk to south sands beach and the Winking Prawn cafe. Great quick, inexpensive ferry across bay to Fisherman's cove beach and coastal path .Traffic a nuisance. Can get very busy especially in school holidays.

The Bed Main room was lovely and the Salcombe Gin in the room is a lovely touch even though we don't drink Gin we were offer complementary drinks at the bar. The car parking manager is an asset to the hotel . Anything we asked for was never too much the staff are very helpful and accommodating The location of the hotel is really central , we have stayed at the sister hotel in Salcombe many times which is worth a visit as we really like the chain,

I suppose it’s like buying a house; location, location, location. Marry that with a superbly designed hotel with glorious scenery, excellent food and hospitable staff, and you have a winner. We had a sea view room, that was so comfortable that the rain didn’t bother us. The walks from the hotel were sublime, as indeed were the ferry ride and visit to Overbecks National Trust property.

Beautiful location with uninterrupted view of the bay. Easy 1 mile walk to Salcombe. Apartment is spacious,well equipped & exceptional. The quality & standard is extremely high with onsite parking. Two hotel restaurants within a few metres serving great food .We felt very welcomed & nothing was too much trouble.Highly recommend
