Everything about St Teath is terrific.

Everything about St Teath is terrific. The location, the pub, the cafe, the people. Not too close to beaches but close enough. Easy to get to Port Isaac, Tintagel, Padstow, Perranporth. Very handy little spot. Well worth the trip.

It wasnt too far from the coast and we found some nice local pubs where you could get a nice meal and a drink. The country lanes were a bit narrow in places ,but everything else made up for that. The local people were friendly too.

Beautiful friendly village.

Beautiful friendly village. The White Hart Inn is a very old but quaint Inn where the staff are very friendly & the food is amazing. Read the book by Ann Worrell on the history of St Teath, it’s very interesting.

St Teath is a quiet little village, but has a lovely pub (the White Hart) for evening meals (portions are generous!), good location for visiting North Cornwall and just off the A39 (Atlantic Highway).

A small typical Cornish town, near to Port Isaac and Newquay...

A small typical Cornish town, near to Port Isaac and Newquay ( ideal for who pratices surf and kayak). The White Cottage is situated only 200 metres from the centre. TREVILLEY LANE to be exact for who uses a navigator (to be careful that in Cornwall, the "roads" can be very, very narrow and the navigator doesn't always choose the ideal road!) Near the house there is a caffé, open to 5pm.for English teas. Nearby is a "real" pub/restaurant, open for meals fom 12 until 2pm. and 6 until 9pm with an assorted menu. Curry, fish & chips, Mexican Chili, ham & eggs, with a wide choice of local beer and a reasonable wine list. (I prefer the Somerset Cyder!) The White Cottage is well restructed on two floors, quiet with modern furnishing. A bathroom including a shower. I have visited Cornwall many times and it remains to be discovered in it's simple traditions and stone artitectual offerings. Cornwall has it's own written language, lovely to discover local words, mainly of towns and villages. I'd return in Spring, and follow the steps of "Poldark"! It was nearly November, variable weather but I managed to visit Bodmin, Port Isaac, Newquay and Fowey.
