Found this real gem by chance but what a find. Couldn’t find any fault in this hotel. Our room was beautiful. We ate both breakfast and evening meal on both days of our stay and the food was fantastic. For us what made this stay even more amazing were the staff. Will; the f&b manager was amazing and so attentive. He really couldn’t do enough for us. The young girl working in the restaurant was fantastic too.

The property was absolutely amazing. It was done tastefully and maintained very well. It was spotlessly clean all throughout the property. There were some games and books which the kids enjoyed. Wish we had brought some books as they had a book exchange policy and my mother started on a book but had to leave it behind because we didn't have anything to exchange 😄 There is a small garden with a bench where you can enjoy a cup of tea or have a meal if you wish, as the garden is also very well maintained. The beds and pillows were very comfy. I would go back just for that 😁. They had also left some Welsh cakes and we thought it was a very nice touch. We visited, Colwyn bay beach, Zip world at Betws-y-Coed and the Pontcysyllte aqueduct from there easily. They also had some other lovely suggestions for visiting in their guidebook. Maybe next time we stay there we can do those, cos we will definitely be booking with them again 🙂

A fantastic location in the glorious Welsh countryside. Relax by watching the sheep or soaking in the hot-tub after a day exploring. Never stayed in a pod before, and we weren't disappointed. Comfortable and cosy with all the facilities that we needed for a short break. Ideally located to explore North Wales.

It was in a lovely pretty small historical town of north wales. every detail had been thought of and in new condition. The hot tub was amazing and extremely clean and well maintained. we even got to feed baby lambs on Easter Sunday brought to see us by the owner.

    A really handsome and interesting town - with good historical sites, restaurants and views, even from the centre of the place. The Clwydian Hills, just outside, are spectacular, and often missed by the hoards speeding down the A55 to Eryri.

    An attractive town. Lovely mix of architecture.

    An attractive town. Lovely mix of architecture. The pretty centre square has parking, shops, cafes and St Peter’s Church ( though that is currently closed for renovations). Roads lead downhill in various directions, one to the river with a good park. The area near to the former Castle is especially nice. You can stroll in the castle grounds and visit a very old timbered house near there, though it’s only open Wed-Sun. The Craft Centre is an interesting modern building on the outskirts, with quality gallery, crafts, shop, cafe and free parking. Two large supermarkets. The Clwyd Ridge overlooks the town and is a lovely place to walk with far-reaching views. The carpark for a ridge walk is high up so makes the prospect far easier!

    Ruthin town is a lovely old market town, full of character and a good base for exploring the area. Lovely motor museum in Llangollen with lovely walks along the canal to Llangollen town and Horseshoe falls.

    Beautiful place, so interesting and worth a visit. Lots of places to eat and drink too. Fascinating history and people very helpful and friendly in all of the places we ate. Jacques especially was a wonderful find.

    Amazing historic Castle converted to a hotel a number of years ago. Right in the centre of the town, easy parking in the grounds. Beautiful grounds with peacocks. Very friendly welcoming staff. Room was large and bed very comfortable. Probably in need of some decoration/updating but didn't affect our overnight stay

    The venue was perfect for the family wedding.

    The venue was perfect for the family wedding. Staff were very helpful. Rooms are very clean and all facilities provided. The town of Ruthin is a lovely little town and easy to find everything you need. A nice Weatherspoons and a few restaurants in town and a lovely family run coffee shop. Highly recommended to anyone thinking of hosting a family event.

    Good location for exploring North Wales on foot or by car, and huge TV if relaxing on the sofas is preferred; well-stocked kitchen (was able to bake & cook for visiting family staying/living nearby in Ruthin); very quiet (able to relax); self-check-in meant no pressure to arrive by a certain time; good-sized & well-lit rooms with large windows & privacy blinds; lots of parking options nearby; very helpful & pleasant owners & staff; and very clean rooms & shared areas.

    This was a last-minute booking for me and my mum. We wanted Ruthin in particular, and this was perfect for us. We drove to Chester (40 mins) and had breakfast at Woodcrafts Garden Centre in Mold, too. Snowdrops were everywhere, which was stunning. Very comfortable. Warm welcome, and the accommodation was well stocked in the kitchen. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

    Love Ruthin, and staying in this stunning building, just added to our stay, first time staying at a Wetherspoon’s Hotel, very impressed with value for money, and food great here, as eaten here several times before, thank you to the chef, and helpful staff. Will definitely stay again.
