The location was perfect for us. There was 2 pubs not far from the hotel if we wanted a change. The hotel itself was busy. A great vibe in the bar. The breakfast was excellent. All the staff were super friendly but I have to give a special mention to Lianne. Nothing was too much trouble for her

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The room was ready early for us as we were coming from overseas. The heating was on and the room was comfortably warm. The meal service in the dining room was excellent. Apart from the full breakfast which was most enjoyable we also had an evening dinner which was delicious too.

The Boathouse is in Ormesby St Michael not Rollesby.

The Boathouse is in Ormesby St Michael not Rollesby. It's on the banks of the Trinity Broads which aren't connected to the main river network so no motorboats which means its very peaceful. In the warmer months sitting outside by the water with a drink or a meal is one of our regular stops.

I think all of the staff were wonderful, they were welcoming, kind and nothing was too much trouble even when they were really busy. My room was more of a suite and very comfortable. As a single traveller I felt fine in the accommodation and hope to go back again next year. The situation is excellent for visiting The Broads and the coast together with local tourist areas.

Lovely location especially for nice walks along the broads and can do a great walk to Horsea beach. Lovely restaurants and Cafe near by. Quiet place. Lots to do. Would recommend as a romantic getaway and if you want to visit the broads in a central location. It is also great for being near the beach and lovely nature walks.

We are new to Norfolk - it took a day or two to get used to the different landscape. It did grow on us and there is something quaint about the village - its atmosphere and light. We ate at the Boat Inn at Acle which is a real family place and in a lovely setting by the water. Traditional pub food and lovely garden. Staff very welcoming. We also went to the King's Head in Fleggburgh - really delicious meal - beautifully presented - We loved Mundeseley beach and Sheringham.

The accommodation was lovely, we had the Captain's cabin which was perfect and hidden away. there was a wedding in progress in the wedding venue next to the bedroom but the music finished at 10.30pm so not too bad, if you dont want any noise, perhaps choose the Crow's nest room, we will try that next time. We a lunch, 2 evening meals and 2 breakfasts there-it was all excellent, v large portion so excellent value, you can ask for smaller portions. The boathouse is set in beautiful surroundings- we would imagine ideal for weddings, that part of the venue looked perfect. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable and staff were very kind and responsive and deserve a pat on the back! A very good all round break.
