Ravenglass is in a unique location where three rivers flow into the sea. Ravenglass is the only village on the coast within the Lake District National Park. Ravenglass is within reach of some of the best mountain scenery in the Lake District and is ideal for visiting the Ravenglass and Eskdale steam railway. Ravenglass is accessible by train with a station in the village so this gives an additional option for travel as well as by car.

The ravenglass railway was brilliant, although it is a miniature train! There are 3 places to eat within walking distance of where we stayed. It is a trek to the nearest shop for essentials, so make sure you get everything you need when you're out.

A lovely area. Beautiful views.

A lovely area. Beautiful views. Lots to see and do if you know where to look. If you enjoy good walks then definitely a good place to be. Castle is a must visit as is the railway and the museum. Roman bath house is a good walk and plenty of blackberry bushes. People are lovely. We saw a craft fayre which was nice. Other good beaches in driving distance too. Our children loved it.

Beautiful location with lots of history within walking distance. The ratty train was also a lot of fun and took us to Eskdale where you can climb up to see a waterfall. The Inn at Ravenglass had amazing food and we will definitely be going again!

In the castle grounds so had access to facilities including beautiful scenery, walks and an excellent bird of prey show - with a range of owls flown close to the audience. Were there for the Parkrun which was a good course through the grounds, but also walked across country to Ravenglass which was less than 2 miles on mostly good paths (shorter by road). Checkout was 10:30 but able to stay on throughout the day, leaving our car in the car park.

The cabin was of a good size and very well equipped, a place I could actually live in. The garden was pleasant and a good size. Off road parking is always a boon as is ease of access. Ravenglass is a lovely small village, right on the estuary which is rather beautiful. Good food at the Inn, we thought the chicken skewers were some of the best we've had.

The breakfast was superb, the rooms were top notch, and the staff could not have done more, when we arrived we were blown away by the setting and sheer quality of the hotel, several of the lads said they would like to return with their wives/partners etc.

Great location, and a great view. The hotel was next door so we were able to talk to the staff whenever we needed and could use the bar. Nice spacious house, and plenty of room for all of us.
