The Halvard Hotel is by far the best on the Isle of Man, very friendly and helpful staff, best breakfast on the island, perfectly located, great view of the sea, complimentary mini bar, etc.

Stylish and clean hotel with a view of Douglas Bay and 3 min walk to public transport. They have the nicest English breakfast I have ever tasted. Tasty kippers plus cold fruits and cereals are fabulous. We loved the bar and restaurant too. Extremely friendly and helpful staff including the owner's family. Big thank you to you all. Breakfast was awesome, Margot was super friendly every morning and was most helpful in local information. Also Mathew was great in the bar also helpful with directions etc.

Very good location overlooking Douglas Bay. Being out of tourist season, it was nice and quiet. The breakfast was complimentary, and there is a nice room with a view outside onto the bay. It was great as a solo traveler like me. If I return to the Isle of Man, I would stay again.
