    We stayed at The Roundabout Hotel as it was in an ideal...

    We stayed at The Roundabout Hotel as it was in an ideal location for all that we had planned on our pre-Christmas break. Pulborough suited our needs and enabled us to visit our friends who live nearby and also Arundel, the Petworth and Goodwood, and Chichester. The scenery and adventures to be had in this area are second to none. So many lovely pubs offer so much great food.

    Not great.

    Not great. The major junction between the A283 and the A29 spectacularly awkward and slow, and the links between the upper and lower town poor. Eateries too poor, both nights we drove out to admittedly excellent places, but there was nothing local.

    It was a good place to be based for visiting the stunning...

    It was a good place to be based for visiting the stunning and bird-rich wetlands at Pulborough, Arundel and Amberley in winter. There was a fabulous and generous Thai restaurant, River Moon, where we ate twice. Tescos is very handy. The Black Rabbit near Arundel had the most stunning fish and chips and venison casserole, great after a visit to the Wetlands centre. Coming from a quieter part of the British Isles the worst trouble was road closures and poor diversion signs for us visitors who don't know the area very well, even with a sat nav and google maps.

    Walk along River Arun and visit to Pulborough Brooks was great.Big Tesco was easy to get to.Trains to Amberley and Arundel were easy to get to along path to station .White Hart was great pub for food and scenery .Great garden centre there with railway for kids.

    Pulborough is no great attraction in itself but well placed to enjoy the Downs and other local sites. It has a couple of decent supermarkets and all the necessities if you are self-catering. Plenty of decent pubs locally for lunches/dinners

    Lots of great walking opportunites.

    Lots of great walking opportunites. Wine tasting and bird watching all easy to do here. Book a taxi in advance if you do need one. It's a small village with no uber. Not a problem if you book in advance. Beautiful countryside and so many places within easy reach.

    Beautiful location looking out on fields - felt very peaceful to only have sheep and cows for neighbours! The house itself is a bit of a mix of luxury and ramshackle, which I kind of loved! It was definitely quirky and touches like the port hole and copper bath felt very decadent. Close proximity to Littlehampton, RSPB Pulborough and Arundel (all of which we visited during our two-night stay), plus walking distance to the pub. Overall lovely, and wouldn’t hesitate to return if we could get for the same price again.

    Such a peaceful, rural location. The cottage was everything we expected and so much more. Beautiful gardens, wonderful hosts and a truly relaxing stay. If you're looking for something off the beaten track yet close enough to explore all the wonderful sites of Sussex, then Keed's Cottage is ideal. We have stayed in many B&Bs, villas and hotels around the world and found this to be a truly exceptional experience.

    This is an exceptional hotel in a quiet country village location. Everything about it is class. We felt welcomed and at home from the moment we walked in. Our room and the hotel’s attention to detail was faultless. The staff were excellent and attentive. Our dinner was top notch. Every place we stay in from now on will be measured against the White Horse.

    The room was exceptional. It was huge with a four-poster bed. The staff were very friendly. The food was delicious. The hotel setting is wonderful. The hotel was built for accommodation and is very unusual in its style.

    This beautiful eclectic hotel is extremely welcoming just perfect for a country getaway. The staff are fantastic the rooms are snug but big enough and everything worked. The breakfast was superb.
