Staff were all friendly - from the reception to the breakfast support. They seemed happy to be there, which makes all the difference. Breakfast was by far the best we had while travelling around the UK (I must say we usually have continental breakfast, so the options available made all the difference here). Location is also very convenient.

From start to finish (one night stay) everything was exceptional. Staff were most pleasant. Place was clean and quiet. Dinner and breakfast were superb. Literally the only quibble I had was the bacon for breakfast was not soft the way I like it.

I loved my super comfy, warm room. After a long day, I was delighted to have a bath. The water pressure was excellent and the bath tub was filled in no time. Extra thanks for natural toiletry products. Soft and quality towels. Everything was spotless. Staff was lovely, welcoming and helpful at the reception and in the dining room. Full English breakfast was delicious. I appreciated that the hotel used local farmers' sausages, eggs.and apple juice. Also excellent gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan options. Superb and stylish interior Lovely location. Safe and secure carpark included in the price, unlike many other town centre hotels. Unique building, cosy room, friendly staff, amazing food.

What guests said about Petham:

I grew up here and remained for many years.

I grew up here and remained for many years. Lovely to return to my old home area. Nice locale. Easy for Canterbury or any coast. Nice and romantic. Loved cycling all around the coast from Whitstable to Dymchurch. Mostly cooked in the lodge.

The house was perfect.

The house was perfect. Beautiful setting and very well kitted out with everything you would need. The owner was helpful and close by. We would definitely stay again and recommend Petham Hide for a family or Adult stay. The bedrooms were beautiful. Disabled facilities were good. A very peaceful area. Pretty village. The grounds around the house were great for the children.
