My stay at this charming little hotel in Brecon was simply outstanding. Jen was incredibly warm, helpful, and genuinely polite. She went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The room was spotless, beautifully arranged, and fully equipped with all the amenities I could wish for. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and cared for. Breakfast was a true highlight. Generous, rich, and bursting with flavour. Every bite felt homemade with love and attention to detail. What truly made this place unforgettable were the breathtaking views of the rolling green hills surrounding Brecon. Sitting in the cosy living and dining room, while looking out over the lush countryside, was pure serenity. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Brecon. It’s a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and natural beauty.

Very hospitable owner :) warming welcome us I feel the owner really like to have guest and tenant with! The pillow is so comfortable and bed is very nice :) To be honest he works the accommodation very clean and comfortable ~ I slept very He took care about guest a lot , for Smart lamps and all equipments ~ you can tell he really want offer guests satisfied environment 😊 He prepare jam and a lot nice cereal things for breakfast 🍳 Cat is so cute 🥰

The room was clean and tidy, and the room facilities were also very good, including the very comfy bed. The breakfast was lovely and the staff friendly and welcoming. The location is very good as well with plenty to see and do in the Brecon Beacons.

Donald and Sue were very hospitable, meeting us when we arrived and showing us around the property. The building itself was a very old and quirky building with great character. It was very cozy and comfortable and a perfect location to stay if one is exploring the delights of the Brecon Beacons. Highly recommended!

This ground floor flat is just across the river from Brecon town centre and has everything a cyclist could need - kitchen, secure back yard, comfy beds, large rooms, good hot water and no stairs. Check-in was easy - we collected the keys from the fish & chip shop next door. Wifi was great and the flat was very well appointed - lots of lovely decorative touches everywhere. A great find.

Middle of nowhere in lovely countryside, perfect!

Middle of nowhere in lovely countryside, perfect! Brecon town (nearest decent shops), the Beacons, and Rivers Usk and Wye, all within easy reach by car. Plenty of local moorland walks too. Merthyr Cynog itself is a quiet, small hamlet with rolling hills and farmland surrounding. Has a church, but nearest pub and pub food is a few miles away via some narrow but pretty lanes.

Isolation of the lodge and views of the countryside.

Isolation of the lodge and views of the countryside. Lodge cosy. Log burner for winter use or cold nights. Little electric heater if needed. Also boiler and radiator in the bathroom. We didn’t cook but we’ll equipped kitchen if staying longer and outside seating if wanting to sit and enjoy the view
