This is our second trip to Lyndhurst & surrounding area. We have dogs & most places are dog friendly which is lovely. Only annoyance was the price of paid parking in many carparks, especially as it's hard to judge how much time you need to explore.

Pretty place and of course there is the Forest however the town is continually blocked with traffic and there is a sort of race track around the centre, cars whizzing around the town on a one way system

Nick and Alison were really helpful.

Nick and Alison were really helpful. There were clear details on possible places to visit or eat. The room was clean, comfortable and everything worked. Breakfasts served on time, with lots of choice and was of good quality (sausages lovely!). Parking convenient. We were in the ‘Sheep’ room. There were other rooms eg Horse and Pig. Everything was well thought out to accommodate guest comfort.

Lyndhurst is mainly a one high street town.

Lyndhurst is mainly a one high street town. The traffic is continuous making it difficult to navigate on foot. I wouldn't recommend it as a destination. But The New Forest is spectacular however car drivers need to obey the rules of the Forest when parking and only use the many car parks.

There are loads of cafés and places to eat. The White Rabbit is a nice pub with an extensive menu and reasonable prices. The staff are very friendly. There are some lovely walks on the doorstep and some lovely places to visit if you want to travel a bit further. Lymington is a short drive away and is a lovely town.

Lyndhurst was a pretty town but the traffic was very busy so didn’t stop but it looked a vibrant little town and will explore again one day . We enjoyed the forest and seeing the ponies and donkeys who are in no doubt who’s in charge of the roads but it was wonderful to see . Plenty of places to stop and walk in the forest with some wonderful pubs to dine inn .

Spent a perfect couple of nights with a friend at the Forest Lodge over the Bank Holiday weekend. Hotel ideally located, short walk into Lyndhurst. We had a good twin room at the front overlooking the common with horses grazing. Beds were extremely comfortable and shower was powerful. Great to have the pool. Staff were amazing. So friendly..particularly the reception staff...who couldn't have been more helpful. Just one thing I would say bathroom accessories and tea tray items were lacking.

The staff were all really approachable and friendly, the services were great, the interiors were lovely, nice seating areas in the conservatory, breakfast was quick and delicious, location was perfect for us, five min walk from Lyndhurst town, with free parking at the hotel this saved looking for a space and payments, also great access to the local beauty spots, walking routes and cycle routes, with horses just over the road. (There was a great cycle hire shop up the road in lyndhurst).

I was given a smaller double room that suited my needs. The room had easy access to the hotel car park, and it was quiet. I was in the Lyndhurst area to explore the New Forest by foot as a volunteer Ramblers walks leader. The visit was to view interesting sights and recce' a walk (Lyndhurst-Brockenhurst loop) that will be walked in September'24. All were accomplished successfully. The food and service was excellent. The manager and staff were very helpful.
