What a gem this place is. Small and perfectly formed, an open plan living room/kitchen with everything we needed to be comfortable. The bed in the separate bedroom was comfortable and the location was excellent - out of town to be quiet, but an easy 20 minute walk to the centre of this beautiful town. Hosts friendly and checked we had all we needed. Shower was good pressure.

Breakfast superb the young girl who served us was very pleasant and helpful ,we had a lovely room with a corner balcony overlooking the church , spotlessly clean . We had our evening meal in the bar I had the pie and my husband had lamb both meals we thoroughly enjoyed .staff all very pleasant .This is our second stay at church inn and we look forward to returning the location is perfect too

Great location, loved the little seating area outside our room. Parking wasn't on site but we could unload at the front door then drive to public car park which we found reasonably priced. The room was deliciously comfortable and shower room was spacious (by UK standards!) and water pressure was good. The room was adjacent to an outdoor beer garden but we didn't notice any noise at all.

Back to the future. So many historic and traditional features of this town. It has a centre, a market place with stalls weekly. Plenty of eateries. A castle with good information. Traditional shops. A brewery, open to drink. All within an easy walk, although some inclines to walk up/down. Friendly, welcoming shop/cafe keepers

A lovely small town with interesting places to visit and an excellent choice of places to eat. St Lawrence's church has stunning stained glass windows and an excellent coffee shop. Nice to see a place without the predictable chains.

A beautiful market town, full of history, character, fabulous buildings, giving lots of information about the History. We enjoyed the Feathers hotel and the independent shops, with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. The river Severn was very angry the night we were there, but that added to the mystery, atmosphere and the sheer flow of the current,brilliant.The Charlton Arms was also in a location so close to the river, magnificent.We met some delightful people ,a very friendly place. Cannot wait to return.

I like Ludlow very much and have visited quite a few times.

I like Ludlow very much and have visited quite a few times. Like the markets which are on most days although the Christmas lights were a bit underwhelming. It has plenty of small pretty shops but supermarkets also. Great down by river and lots of countryside beyond - weather permitting. Lots of attractive historical buildings to look at. A very nice place.

A beautiful old town with lot of very good ancient pubs. The church is spectacular - but then it does get 5 stars in the 1000 English Churches guide. Th castle - although a ruin is well worth a visit.

Because one of us can only walk for short distance we used...

Because one of us can only walk for short distance we used the park and ride at the eco park just off the A49. Free parking and return bus trip to town centre for £2 each. Cheaper than parking. Best place to visit, Stokesay Castle just outside of Ludlow. Worst, the Squirrel with greasy spoon type food and overpriced drinks.

Location brilliant for access to everything you need in Ludlow. Full English breakfast was amazing plentiful and really tasty. Lots of other choice too including cereals, fruit, toast, jams and marmalade. Couldn’t fault the service. Rooms a little on the small size however what more do you want other than to get your head down at the end of the night. Bed really comfortable. Great choice of drinks from larger to ales, wines and spirits. Hotelier’s were amazing lovely stay fantastic conversation will definitely be back.

One of best hotels (although, no reception) we have stayed in. Room 7 was worth every penny. Worth much more than we paid. If we were visiting Strewsbury, we would stay here in Ludlow, overnight. When we arrived, there was a lovely lady outside the entrance. She took us to the Deli around the corner, to receive our key. A nice gentleman from the Deli, took us back to the hotel.

Breakfast was excellent. Hotel has a relaxed ambience and staff were friendly and obliging. Location is great, being a very short distance form Ludlow (20 minute walk) yet out in the countryside. Room was comfortable and clean.

Good location, easy parking behind the hotel, amazing buildings make up the hotel on the street side. The old rooms are fascinating. Ludlow is well worth a visit, and I think we're likely to go back.
