The staff at the Shap Wells Hotel went above and beyond to help us continue on our Coast to Coast adventure despite some serious setbacks on our part. The location is fabulous, the staff friendly and helpful, and the accommodations historic and lovely – a wonderful place to stay.

The property is absolutely spotless, has everything you need and more for your stay. The bed is so comfortable, and the walk in shower is amazing. It’s a great location, local shop, pubs and is in driving distance of beautiful Lake Windermere where we had a lovely day out. We didn’t want to leave and would highly recommend this property. 10/10 to the hosts for a perfectly finished place to stay.

Very helpful hostess. Great village pub close by. Perfect for stop-over before Kendal Calling. Wonderful breakfast, prepared and ready as soon as we came down in the morning. Carefully considered veggie options too 😋 Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The room was very clean with a very comfortable bed and the cozy interior. The owners are very friendly and welcoming people. The location was ideal but only if have a car to get around for convenience.
