The house was superb, welcoming, clean and perfect for a family stay. I'd say, like a home from home. It was one of the best equipped houses we've been - with a hamper basket included!!! The kitchen had everything one would need, the first house which thought of children cups/ funky plates and bowls; a cupboard full of toys/ games/ puzzles - bets times for the kids. We shouldn't have packed any toys as they were fully entertained. We needed a high chair and one was brought in especially for us! So accommodating! Check in and check out was smooth and hosts were easily reachable through texts, very handy. A very big thank you!

Stayed to visit Severn Valley Railway.

Stayed to visit Severn Valley Railway. Time constraints meant it was limited and would like to stay longer. Like many towns and cities would like to see less litter. Building work taking place so some disruption town centre.

    Kidderminster is lovely.

Kidderminster is lovely. If you go to the town centre, you have to pay for parking. Went to the shopping centre with The Range which is free for 3 hours so will go there again. There are a lot of supermarkets and lovely charity shops.

Not the easiest town to access on foot - ring road central!

Not the easiest town to access on foot - ring road central! Best avoided, unless, like me, it was a convenient access point for a nearby attraction - Rushock village church - the burial place of drummer John Bonham. No shortage of mega supermarkets, if that's your thing.

Kidderminster is a delightful town near the Severn Valley...

Kidderminster is a delightful town near the Severn Valley and not far from the Shropshire Hills. It has excellent transport links (road and rail) to Birmingham and Worcester; and further afield. It is a centrally located for easy access to the Midlands and the the South West (Bristol / South Wales) or north towards Shrewsbury or west towards Hereford. The headquarters of the Severn Valley Railway are here, offering picturesque journeys by steam train (or heritage Diesel engine) through to Bewdley and Bridgnorth, The historic Worcestershire and Shropshire canal begins its journey Northwards at the nearby Stourport Basin, adjoining the River Severn, to the South of Kidderminster. The canal runs through Kidderminster and the canal-side walks are beautiful. The Town Centre is bustling with shops and leisure facilities, especially alongside the repurposed canal-side wharfs and former industrial premises. Other parts of the town - in common with many other places are - perhaps - in need of some t.l.c. There is a beautiful park towards the South of the town in the Stourport direction. The people here are very friendly and it is a place to return to and explore again and again.

    The experience was very unpleasant.

The experience was very unpleasant. Radiators in rooms in the winter should be working to full capacity, the room had one radiator and it was not working properly. Windows should shut, shower should have hot water. The room was classed as a Junior Suite with a metal four poster bed. There was a very misleading picture on Bookings.com for this room showing the bed, and stating it had a large bathroom, and that it was a Junior Suite. The ROOM WAS A ROOM. NOT A JUNIOR SUITE. THE DESCRIPTION OF THIS ROOM WAS TOTALLY UNTRUE. THERE WAS NO SEPARATE SEATING AREA. IT WAS IN FACT QUITE A SMALL ROOM.

Cosy little house which is just around the corner from the Severn Valley Railway Experience, which was perfect for us. There is a Tesco Express and a good Indian restuarant across the road which was also handy. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and warmed up quickly once you put the heating on. The host had bought a pint of milk for us which was nice. There was a mirror and chair upstairs at which I could dry my hair and put my make-up on - always an important factor with self-catering or a hotel!

An exceptional breakfast and personal attention from the owners that you don't get from a big chain hotel. The owner even saved my parking spot for me when I had to nip out, and carried my case to my room. And their dog is gorgeous, though she was so quiet and well-behaved, I suspect none of the other guest even knew there was a dog. When you go away a lot with work you become accustomed to faceless chain hotels. The owners of Bewdley Hill House showed the personal attention that I'd forgotten I'd missed.

The whole hotel experience was superb. The staff were friendly and personable; they made us feel very welcome and very special. Our evening meal in the fine dining restaurant was excellent and of a very high standard. The location was very quiet (even the bleating of the sheep was part of the whole "countryside" vibe) and the grounds were beautiful. Overall this was a delightful country house hotel experience of a very high standard. Thank you

Hotel asked us for arrival time. We advised 5pm to 6pm. Arrived at 5.15pm to find the room gad not been cleaned and old bedding on the bed, despite check o being from 2pm. Advised that the room would be ready in 5 minutes, but finally given tbe keys at 5.50pm. The water in the rooms is not drinkable and we were only provided with a small bottle each, so lucky we had some in the car. The bed was comfortable and the room clean .
