The fact that the guy that ran the place came out and spoke to us when we arrived and made us feel welcome and the room was pretty standard was there and the bed that was there was very comfortable and we would stay again

Great property finished to a high standard, everything you need, all modern and clean, kids loved the pull out sofa bed! Lovely courtyard to the back of the property, ideally situated close to bar and an Italian restaurant, the portal and couple mins walk from river gate, the hosts before during and after went above and beyond, couldn’t have been any friendlier or any more accommodating, thanks for a lovely stay

I love Irvine, the beach is beautiful and you have...

I love Irvine, the beach is beautiful and you have facilities there as well which is perfect, especially if you are taking children. I love the wee cafes along Harbour street but my favourite is Small Talk, love this cafe. The home baking is delicious! They also have a gluten free selection of cakes. I highly recommend you try this wee place. You have everything you need close by, its such a beautiful place.

People in town were friendly.

People in town were friendly. The maritime museum was very interesting. We came for genealogy research and the graveyards were cool, though many headstones were illegible. Food choices were okay but lacking in vegetables and fruits.

The beach is about a 5-10 minutes drive away for nice walks. Irvine town centre is about a 5 minute walk but there doesn't seem to be a lot in it. The hotel is on the bus route to Irvine town centre.

small town plenty of shops not to far from the sea and easy access to other places of interest ie the lochs ferry and distillerys all within an hours drive so we spent time in distilerys and the famouse nardinies icecream parlour,

The location is really great with easy access to main shops...

The location is really great with easy access to main shops / food outlets and pubs. Nice access to the promenade and good walks to the beach and surrounds. Its our second time staying at Ervin Bay and its good value for money and we totally recommended

There is plenty of choice for eating and drinking.

There is plenty of choice for eating and drinking. All tastes are catered for with restaurants and take-aways as well as cafes and coffee shops. Walking around felt safe and was pleasent with good architecture to admire. The main shopping centre had plenty of choice with abundant parking as well.

Braidmead House is right in the centre of Irvine, easy access to all routes to enable exploration further in the area, not far from the ferry to Arran and an easy drive from Glasgow Airport. There is ample parking. The choice of breakfast is very good and the food itself was excellent. The room is a good size and the ensuite (shower) clean and in good order. There is a very comfortable large client lounge with a TV and a well stocked honesty bar. The owner - Diane was kind, helpful and very approachable.

The room was perfect, clean and spacious even for 5 of us, the hosts were friendly and helpful and given we had some poor circumstances for visiting scotland they went above and beyond, there is music from downstairs but we could barely hear it and it didnt interfere with our night at all, I will definitely be visiting again soon and look into using this amazing little place again.
