The pictures on booking sites are totally misleading, they must be 10 years old. The place looks old, run down, smells bad, and feels dodgy. Poorly maintained room, dirty carpet, old furniture, unhelpful staff. I had a very poor experience. Upon arrival the carpet and floor were dirty, cobwebs in literally every corner and on walls. Dust on furniture. Linen was clean but no throws or blankets on the bed. Windows open at 8.30pm, cold room. Portable heater in the room luckily worked. Carpets on the corridors also looked dirty, cleaning is definitely not a daily routine here. The light switch next to my bed was not working so I had to walk to bed in pitch dark. Next morning I asked for the room to be cleaned, cobwebs be removed, coffee spoon/stick provided as there was none in the room. Upon returning in the evening, my key card was not working, had to go back to reception to have it reactivated. I found the room untouched, same dirty carpet, cobwebs, dust, no spoon. Toilet left filthy, no toilet brush provided to clean it with. No new toilet roll provided. Dirty teabags and coffee sachets from the morning untouched, cups unwashed. Only one litter bin emptied, not the other. All this after being assured by Reception that cleaning was done as requested. I walked back to Reception only to be told there’s no cleaners around at this hour and they have nothing to offer to solve my problem, I only got a ‘sorry’. The room was not cleaned once in the 3 days I stayed. Last morning when I left there was no one at Reception, you had to leave the keycard in a basket! Avoid this place, it is nothing as advertised. I have filed a complaint and asked for a refund. 3 days later no reply received.

The room was both spacious and immaculate, and the bed was exceedingly comfortable, ensuring that I had an excellent night's sleep. Breakfast was a delightful and diverse selection, catering to every preference, making it an ideal start to the day. The check-in process was expedited and cordial, and the staff made an effort to ensure that I felt at home. Housekeeping was consistent, and everything was precisely as advertised.

I stayed for one night, arriving after dinner so did not require the amenities nearby. It is relatively easy to get around, though I got a taxi to and from Heald Green rather than Handforth station. There are good bus and rail links from the hotel.

Handforth has a village feel.

Handforth has a village feel. It's quite small but there are a couple of pubs and hotels. There are a few eateries, chippy, Italian and Indian. There is small shopping centre, The Paddock, with a limited selection of shops. The main A34 now bypasses Handforth and the airport is only a 10 minute drive away.

It had the twin rooms that we required.

It had the twin rooms that we required. Our rooms were next door to each other. Just a few minutes to airport. Nice and quiet. Rooms were adequately equipped for our needs. Clean and functional. Comfortable enough for our stay. Pleasant staff. Shop and reasonable restaurant (we had a carvery for dinner), within walking distance. We left too early in the morning to have breakfast at the hotel. If I was going to require a stay in the same area again, I would definitely be prepared to stay there. Having its own free car park was very useful too.

The hotel was easy to find and offered good parking, we stayed overnight to get an early flight and also found local facilities offering good food and drinks nearby. The locals we met were friendly and helpful, we did not stay long enough to see the town properly.

We chose the Best Western Pinewood for its reasonable price, convenient location near Manchester Airport, and our previous positive experiences with Best Western hotels. The room itself was clean, a good size, and the bed was comfortable, which made for a generally pleasant stay. We also enjoyed the food at the hotel restaurant—it was tasty, even if the menu was a bit limited. Overall, the hotel offered good value for money, and we would consider staying again.

The room was a small single on the second floor. It was quiet, with no traffic noise and spotlessly clean. I couldn't open the window but the door locked securely. There was no bedside table and wifi was unreliable. The adjoining shared toilet didn't have a door lock. Hotel parking was adequate.

The hotel was comfortable and clean; the staff were helpful and friendly. We were visiting relatives who lived nearby, and the location was very convenient. Definitely the best of the 3 or 4 hotels near Cheadle Hulme that we've stayed in over the years.
