Absolutely loved this place, from the location (right opposite the gorgeous cathedral) to the beautiful building itself. The food was amazing (don't miss the degustation dinner, it is worth every penny!) and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Free parking was also a boon. Ripon is one of my favourite places in the UK, and the Old Deanery will certainly be my preferred place to stay when I return.

The 2 nights we stayed there were lovely, we stayed in a lodge the first night and then we stayed in a room in the hotel. The bedroom was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable! We had breakfast which was lovely and we also ate in the restaurant and again we couldn’t fault it! The staff were friendly and helpful.

The location was perfect, set in lovely country grounds, lovely old building but immaculate and well thought out inside. Done to a very good standard with attention to every detail to make sure our stay way perfect. Breakfast was one of the best I've experienced. Pub/restaurant across the way was the same standard. Overall a delight and will be back.

    Views were fantastic. Easy to get to Harrogate every day.

    Views were fantastic. Easy to get to Harrogate every day. I am not a fan of chemical toilet, but considering the difficulties of putting in anything else it was totally understandable. The road was very rough, but as it was a farm road this was not really surprising. The views were superb. Lovely and quiet place to stay. Clean and had everything needed. Would go again, but not for more than 2 nights because of the loo.
