Goring by Sea is a town on the West Sussex coast with a pebble beach. It is an ideal location for exploring Sussex towns including Worthing and Brighton and also a plethora of villages and an ideal base for a walking holiday. The town itself has a variety of shops, restaurants and independent shops. The sea front offers a walk to Worthing in one direction and Rustington in the other, both towns offering a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and museums. The Church of the Martyrs in Goring on Sea has an amazing replica of the ceiling of the Cistene Chapel and some stunning modern stained glass windows. It is also a few miles from Arundel with its Castle, independent shops and river side walk. Goring on Sea makes an excellent base for exploring Sussex and is well worth a visit.

Being relatively near Worthing town centre was good.

Being relatively near Worthing town centre was good. We enjoyed a visit to the pantomime, and visits to Perch on the Pier - for food and knickerbocker gloryies - wre very welcome. The coastal path at Goring is handy, and the Sea Lane Cafe deservedly popular.
