FAQs about hotels in Glasgow

Fun-Loving and Forward Thinking

Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow combines Victorian architecture and a vibrant arts scene. A former European City of Culture, it is home to many national organisations including the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland. The museums are also world class. Not to be missed are the futuristic-looking Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.

Lined with Georgian buildings, George Square is the city’s focal point and the spot for Glasgow Hogmanay celebrations. Fanning out from here are streets housing venues for the city’s main love: music. From classical concerts to up-and-coming bands, every taste is catered for.

As host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow is also a city of sport. Scotland’s 2 most iconic football clubs - Celtic and Rangers - are based here, as is the national football stadium Hampden Park. The Scottish Football Museum is also an excellent walk through the beautiful game.

Last but not least is the shopping in Glasgow. Shopping centres cover everything from high street brands to international designers. So when you fly into Glasgow Airport, make sure you’ve left enough space in your bags!

Glasgow - Big, beautiful and busy. Great places to eat. Lots to do - great shopping, great exhibitions and very good transport links, although we walked everywhere which was easy to do as we felt safe in the streets, and the grid system makes it simple to find your way.

Great city, plenty to see and do. Easy to walk around. Hotel in perfect location, have used many times, would recommend. If you going to OVO or Hydro for concert, this hotel is ideal, you can walk to the venue.

It was a good short stay and although there are a lot of shops in the area in the city centre, I don't know why in the gift shops there is just nothing of Glasgow itself (only Scotland and Edinburgh). I did love the visit to Glasgow's Cathedral and cemetry. But to be honest, for views and scenery, I love Edinburgh a bit more.

Not much of a review unfortunately as I was there on business only for a conference. I have not seem much of Glasgow at all, arrived late in the dark, spent the whole next day at the exhibition centre and left again in the evening.

The location was perfect for city centre but quiet at night. Had a very friendly welcome and no hassle settling in. The room was big, clean and tidy with everything we needed. The bathroom was clean. Huge walk in shower and loveky Arran toiletries. Cannot fault anything. Had breakfast, and it was excellent with lots of choice. The parking arrangement is excellent too and so close to the hotel with discount too. All in all it was excellent and I highly recommend this hitel if you are staying in Glasgow. Thankyou to all the staff xx

Recently refurbished. Exceptionally clean, extremely comfortable beds, lovely fresh, crisp bed linen. Perfect location 600 metres from wedding venue Engine Room tho we did take Uber as we were running late! Great value for 6 people. 15 mins from airport. Lovely big enclosed garden, We were a family of five so would have needed 3 hotel rooms for one night, Wyndford was way better and less expensive than hotel. Ni city noise as situated in suburban cul-de-suc. Great for airport and Glasgow city centre 15 mins away.

Absolutely everything! Rachel and Dylan from the reception set the bar high when checking you in. I always return to this hotel and never search for other hotels now as they don't even come close! Have stayed in different hotels in Glasgow City Centre for 25 years only to discover in the last 2 years that this wonderful hotel exists.

There was a very warm welcome once we arrived. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is in a decent location with plenty of dining options around and supermarkets close by. You can easily walk into Glasgow city centre. The beds were comfy. Did provide a luggage room which was handy.
