I love Fort William, there is so much to see and do in the area. Easy drive to Glencoe, Mallaig, Kinlochleven, and Loch Ness. Don't miss a trip to Corpach to see the start/end of the Caledonian Canal, its such a pretty place with great views of Ben Nevis. Also take a drive/ walk up the Glen Nevis Road to see amazing waterfalls and highland Cattle. I love Fort William, the area with the Loch right in front...
I love Fort William, the area with the Loch right in front is stunning. There are some great little pubs to eat and have a drink, and a good amount of restarunts to choose from. There are hotels to B and Bs to stay. It is small with a lot of tourists from all over the world. What a lovely little town.

Catching the Jacobite train was the highlight of our trip although Fort William nestled under Ben Nevis was stunning! The loch cruise was informative and fun. A small town but with shops, cafes, cinema and good rail and bus links.speciailses in outdoor activities as UK outdoor centre. The West Highland walking Way from Glasgow ends here and the Great Glen way to Inverness commences. Lots of walks from low level to high mountains with bike trails and plentiful buses to lochs and mountains. The town sits on a loch amidst mountains and the loch is actually a 30 mile inlet of the Atlantic. Historic charm meets modern comfort: our spacious room had new soundproof windows, USB charging ports, a modern bathroom, and a large four-poster bed (though the wooden frame creaked a bit). The location is perfect – right on the main road, but quiet thanks to good insulation. Breakfast is simple, but warm dishes like eggs are freshly made and very tasty.
