This was a favorite stay on our trip. We stayed at many different places during our trip, but my kids liked this place the best. The staff was super friendly, the food was awesome, and the area was so quiet and quaint. There isn't a lot in the town, so if you are looking for shopping this may not be the place for you. We woke up and went for a long walk, the locals were very friendly and helped us find a good route. The inn was comfortable and clean. The restaurant was a surprise, we assumed basic pub food, which was not the case. It was fresh and delicious.

PERFECT is the only term that can qualify this outstanding establishment : impoising and manor like exteriorly, but happily surrounded by beautiful ground and flowers. Warm welcome on arrival, fantastic, spacious room where no comfort or detail is missing, very good bed AND armchairs, very quiet. Spacious and pleasant bar and restaurant, and the best food we’ve had among the 10 hotels we’ve stayed at during our trip. It is truly wonderful to end our journey on such a wonderful note. Thank you Glen Hotel and all its staff!

It feels as though you are miles from anywhere, but in fact...

It feels as though you are miles from anywhere, but in fact you are not that far from Selkirk. Hardly any traffic comes this way, so it has that untravelled feeling. Ettrickbridge is a tiny little place, wonderfully quiet, yet the bar was lively and friendly.

Very good and comfortable rooms in the Cross Keys with...

Very good and comfortable rooms in the Cross Keys with everything one could wish for. Everyone was friendly and chatted to us. The food was great and well presented. As we were only there for one night we were not out and about the locality.
