FAQs about hotels in Edinburgh

A Feast for the Senses

A city of heritage, heart and of course Hogmanay, Scotland’s capital is vibrant and edgy. Whether or not you come for one of its many festivals, Edinburgh is quite simply a feast for the senses.

The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.

Wandering the streets, the smell of fish and chips wafts by, with the unique twist of salt ‘n’ sauce – a must-try variation on this favourite dish. Follow it up with a smooth whisky and you’ll start to feel like a local.

For a taste of Scottish culture, a kilt-wearing busker often plays the bagpipes on Waverley Bridge, while traditional folk music can be heard in some Old Town pubs. Complete your stay with a rugby match at Murrayfield or a round at one of the city’s 14 golf clubs, and you’ll have the true Edinburgh experience.

Whether you are looking for hotels near Edinburgh Airport or accommodations in the city center, Booking.com has a great range to choose from.

Edinburgh is a legendary city.

Edinburgh is a legendary city. Every visit there is like a journey back in time. I don't mind the thousands of other tourists, the crowds, the rain, or the high prices. Edinburgh is a place where every moment is magical, and only moving there would alleviate the despair of having to leave this magnificent city.

Enjoyed our short visit to Edinburgh, plenty to see and do, wish we had stayed longer and seen a show. The Christmas Markets are great although they possibly will be very busy at the weekend. Will definitely be revisiting next year.

Edinburgh is a wonderful city with so much to see.

Edinburgh is a wonderful city with so much to see. One visit is never enough. The National Gallery is just wow! The Museum is unbelievable, do not miss it. And so many other things to see, too many to list. An enjoyable holiday is guaranteed. It's probably the best city I have ever visited.

The location was great, only a few mins drive into the city centre with buses every few mins, including one to and from the airport (only takes 10 mins). The staff were so helpful and friendly and the accommodation was stunning. Everything was so clean and comfortable. When we had a problem, they sorted it straight away and ensured we had the best stay possible. I’ve been to Edinburgh several times in the past and this was the best property I’ve stayed at, hands down! This includes a number of chain hotels.

The hotel is in a great location with easy access to everything in central Edinburgh. Although it's in the city centre we found the bedroom quiet and had no issues with outside noise. The room was stylishly decorated with excellent facilities and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the communication prior to our arrival was quiet and efficient.

I like this place - the staff are really helpful and it is a comfortable, clean and affordable place to stay near to the city centre where hotel prices soar and you don't get any more for your money. Recommend the hotel for a great stay in Edinburgh, and the parking is handy even if they have put on a price on it more recently, but still affordable.

Great location, about 20 minutes walk into Edinburgh city centre. Shops, cafes and restaurants close by. We took the tram from airport to Haymarket and then 5 minutes walk to hotel. Can join river walk into the centre a few minutes from hotel which was lovely. Lovely, friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Room was great and the bed very comfortable.
